In spite of these challenging situations, he remains hopeful about this power struggle. He’s confident that he can reclaim his city. Yet, as he readies himself to gather allies, there are numerous unanswered questions that the upcoming Season 2 needs to address.
Daredevil’s Friends Could Be Hiding or Fighting Police Brutality
In the latest developments, Fisk appears to be extorting politicians, assassinating officials, and devising a scheme with his spouse, Vanessa, to establish their own exclusive government in Red Hook port. One can’t help but ponder where the Defenders have vanished to. When Fisk covertly shuts off power within the city so his troops can hunt Matt, chaos ensues as riots and excessive police force erupt. The second season of Born Again needs to swiftly disclose the whereabouts of characters such as Jessica Jones, Danny Rand, and Colleen Wing (Iron Fist).
It was generally assumed that Matt would gather his friends at Josie’s Bar. Some might have had good reasons for not showing up, like needing rest after saving innocents from riot-related harm. The location of Luke Cage is particularly significant since he’s in charge of the Harlem cartel. This makes him a clear target when Fisk’s men decide it’s necessary to control that gang.
Kingpin May Have Wanted Future Torture
In their past, Fisk and this character share a turbulent relationship that dates back to their shared prison time. When Fisk’s henchmen capture Frank, it’s surprising because, given that Frank had been killing Fisk’s loyalists in the streets, one would assume Fisk would want him eliminated. Yet, if Daredevil and his associates can win her over, she could offer documents, testimonies, and much more valuable information.
Sheila is weeping, acknowledging that she recognizes her mistake. The second season will delve into whether she has the courage to betray her cruel supervisor. It’s important to note that Sheila isn’t inherently evil; however, she understands that both her job and life are on the line. This situation promises to generate a lot of tension and suspense, particularly since Daniel, a vicious individual, has been elevated to be her peer.
Buck Won’t Tolerate Daniel’s Mistakes
In the first season of “Born Again,” Buck plays a significant role as Fisk’s trusted lieutenant. His work primarily involves political maneuvering within the office environment. However, he doesn’t shy away from eliminating adversaries, as demonstrated with Luca. Since no one knows that Peter Parker is the web-slinger, he might find comfort in continuing his vigilante work in New York City by apprehending criminals and potentially corrupt officers under the cover of darkness.
Kamala Khan plays a role in interactions. However, the series “Born Again” doesn’t touch upon Matt being Peter’s lawyer in “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. It would be ideal for Peter to make a cameo in “Born Again” Season 2 to address Kingpin’s regime as the next Spider-Man movie might have a more complex plot.
