Denis Arndt
Denis Arndt is primarily recognized for his accomplishments in the theater realm. He garnered attention as Alex Priest in the play “Heisenberg,” a performance that secured him a nomination for the Tony Award in the Best Actor in a Play category. This was his debut role and first Tony nomination, which came when he was 77 years old, demonstrating that success can always be achieved, regardless of age.
Apart from his literary achievements, Arndt delved into cinema as well, featuring in movies like “Basic Instinct” (he was present during the filming of that famous scene) and “S.W.A.T.” Unfortunately, at the age of 86, he passed away. The details surrounding his death are not yet publicly known.

Priscilla Pointer embarked on her theatrical journey initially and eventually shifted to the silver screen in Hollywood. Initially, Jason made his debut on screen with an uncredited role as a duty officer in the 1967 TV movie titled “A Bell for Adano.” Later on, he forged a strong bond with renowned horror director John Carpenter, appearing in a total of seven of Carpenter’s films such as “They Live” and “Body Bags.” However, it is his portrayal of Con Stapleton in the popular HBO series “Deadwood” that he is most recognized for, including the 2019 reunion film. Sadly, Jason lost his battle with cancer at the age of 80, passing away peacefully in his home.

Known for her portrayal of Monica Quartermaine in the soap opera “General Hospital,” Charleston garnered four Daytime Emmy Award nominations and held the record as the longest-serving cast member on the show. Remarkably, “General Hospital” was close to being canceled before Charleston became a part of its ensemble. Lynne Marie Stewart gained fame for portraying Bonnie Kelly, who was Charlie’s affectionate yet puzzled and free-spirited mother in the sitcom “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” However, she had already made a name for herself by appearing in numerous roles on popular television series such as “M*A*S*H” and “Laverne & Shirley” before this.
Apart from her renowned status, Stewart was particularly celebrated for embodying the character Miss Yvonne in the children’s TV show “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse.” This role she pioneered herself. She shared a close friendship with Pee-Wee Herman, who is none other than Paul Reubens. Tragically, cancer took Paul away in 2023, and two years later, Stewart too succumbed to the same disease at the age of 78.

Joan Plowright, a British actress, has had a long and varied career in both theater and cinema that extended for over six decades. She first appeared on the big screen in an unrecognized role in the 1956 movie masterpiece, “Moby Dick.” Throughout her illustrious career, she graced screens big and small, from lighthearted films like “101 Dalmatians” and “Dennis the Menace,” to more serious productions such as “The Entertainer” and “Jane Eyre.
In 1991 and 1992, Joan Plowright’s standout roles were seen in the film “Enchanted April” and the political drama TV series “Stalin,” respectively. These performances earned her a Golden Globe Award. In recognition of her significant impact on the arts, Queen Elizabeth II bestowed upon her the title of Dame in 2004. Plagued by macular degeneration, she was compelled to retire from acting in 2014. Sadly, Joan Plowright passed away this year at the age of 95.
