10 Five Nights At Freddy’s Animatronics Missing From The First Movie

The sequel to Five Nights at Freddy’s, coming in 2025, will likely feature some new robotic characters. This is exciting because the first movie only included the four main animatronics, while the larger Five Nights at Freddy’s universe – which includes games and comics dating back to 2014 – has many more to choose from.

The animatronics in Five Nights at Freddy’s go beyond the original four – Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy – and include a wide range of scary characters. These include variations like the Nightmare, Halloween, and Funtime animatronics, offering plenty of options for future films.

Circus Baby

If you’re afraid of clowns, you might want to skip watching Circus Baby in the Five Nights at Freddy’s films. She’s a terrifying clown robot who originally served as the mascot for Pizza World in the game Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location. She’s designed to be genuinely unsettling, combining the creepiness of clowns with the disturbing nature of a child, and many find her deeply frightening.

It’s especially unsettling to learn that the character Circus Baby is possessed by the spirit of William Afton’s daughter, Elizabeth. The games and movies portray Elizabeth differently, and that inconsistency might need to be addressed. However, changing her story wouldn’t diminish the villain’s frightening qualities.

She appears gentle and friendly, with a sweet voice and a clear fondness for kids, but this hides a dangerous, deadly side. Her sole purpose is to create ice cream and harm children. Once the ice cream is gone, it’s a signal to escape immediately.

Roxy

Roxy Wolf is a very popular character from the Five Nights at Freddy’s series, though she didn’t appear in the first movie. She first showed up in the game Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, where she was a major villain. Interestingly, she also formed a strong bond with the player character, Cassie, and ultimately helped save her.

Roxy is often seen as self-centered and overly focused on her appearance, which has caused some disagreement among players about her character and how she fits into the game.

Besides being overly concerned with her appearance – constantly checking her reflection – she’s also intentionally hurtful and abusive, both emotionally and physically. Interestingly, when in a specific ‘Safe Mode,’ she becomes kind and supportive, a trait that could be a compelling addition to the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie series.

Mini Music Man

The Five Nights at Freddy’s games feature several characters called Music Men. But Mini Music Man, who appears in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, is the most frightening. Despite his small size, this damaged and malfunctioning animatronic is truly terrifying.

What’s really unsettling about Mini Music Man is its spider-like legs, which make its chases incredibly creepy. It also has a skin-like outer shell, complete with a realistic nose and a disturbingly large smile.

The Mini Music Man is tiny enough to hide in air vents, letting it unexpectedly appear and attack characters, creating a real jump scare. This makes it a great character to include in a Five Nights at Freddy’s movie.

The Tangle

The Tangle is a creepy animatronic character from Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach. Also called the Blob, it’s even more disturbing-looking than characters like Molten Freddy. It’s a twisted collection of melted wires and broken pieces, with parts seemingly taken from other animatronics.

Even more frightening is the creature’s face – a distorted version of Freddy Fazbear. This mask seems to be the last remnant of the character’s original personality within this terrifying being. Designed for the Five Nights at Freddy’s films, the creature emits a chilling scream during attacks that is sure to scare audiences.

Okay, so the creature’s name pretty much tells you what to expect – it’s… oddly shaped, to say the least. But the real horror isn’t the look of it; it’s what’s inside. Each of its body parts is inhabited by a different spirit, and they’re all battling for dominance. That internal conflict is what makes it so unpredictable and frankly, terrifying. It’s not just a monster; it’s a constant, chaotic struggle made flesh.

The Marionette

Similar to Circus Baby, the Marionette is a clown-like robot character. This character is possessed by the spirit of Charlie Emily, the daughter of Henry. She’s a key antagonist in the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 game, and with Skeet Ulrich playing Henry in the upcoming movie, there’s a possibility she’ll appear in it as well.

Often called the Puppet, this animatronic looks simple and isn’t as scary as the others at first glance, but don’t let that fool you. It uses a music box and is known for delivering surprisingly effective jump scares, and its clown-like appearance makes it even more frightening.

This character plays a key role in Five Nights at Freddy’s. It’s seen as the guardian of the other animatronics, and may even be responsible for the spirits inhabiting them.

Ennard

Ennard resembles a tangled mess of wires, appearing fragile and barely held together. Despite this, he’s one of the most dangerous animatronics in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series, first appearing in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location. He’s also incredibly intelligent and cleverly concealed himself inside the empty body of Michael Afton.

Ennard is a unique and unsettling character created from the combined parts of all the Funtime animatronics from Five Nights at Freddy’s. He’s essentially a patchwork creature held together by a mass of wires, similar to Frankenstein’s monster. The only solid part of him is a creepy metallic mask that serves as his face.

What makes Ennard particularly unsettling to look at is the numerous eyes scattered across his body. He has two main blue eyes, along with several others of different colors – these eyes originally belonged to the animatronics Freddy, Foxy, Ballora, Circus Baby, and Bon-Bon.

The Daycare Attendant

The Daycare Attendant first appeared in the game Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach. He’s a character with a unique design – his head resembles both the sun and the moon, and he dresses like a jester. This design reflects his dual personality, much like the character Two-Face from DC Comics.

The Sun is warm and welcoming to everyone, but the Moon is genuinely frightening, like a villain from a horror movie. When the Moon appears, its eyes glow red and its body twists into unsettling shapes. What makes the Moon even scarier is that it enjoys tormenting people with fear before causing them harm.

Okay, so Moon is seriously scary! As a fan, I’ve seen how he just goes after anyone, even if they haven’t done anything to him, and the fact that he can run on walls and ceilings is just… unsettling. Honestly, if they ever put the Daycare Attendant in a Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, I think it’s going to be terrifying – like, a whole new level of scary!

Glitchtrap

Glitchtrap is a compelling character who was subtly foreshadowed in the first Five Nights at Freddy’s movie. The film concluded with William Afton becoming trapped inside the Springtrap animatronic, which then malfunctioned and killed him. Later, in the game Help Wanted, William Afton returned as the digital villain, Glitchtrap.

Now that William Afton is returning in the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 movie, many believe he could appear as Glitchtrap. Glitchtrap is a twisted version of the Spring Bonnie character, infused with Afton’s malicious nature. What makes Glitchtrap particularly frightening are its large, staring eyes and cruel smile, which clearly signal its evil intentions.

What makes Glitchtrap so frightening isn’t that he often attacks, but rather that he relentlessly follows players, attempting to fuse with them. Considering William Afton’s dark history, this constant, unsettling pursuit is truly terrifying.

Nightmarionne

Nightmarionne first appeared in Five Nights at Freddy’s 4. While not considered part of the main storyline, he’s still a frightening character from the game series – the kind of animatronic that could scare moviegoers!

The creature’s design is genuinely frightening, building on the classic marionette look and amplifying the horror. It features a stark white face with bold black makeup and menacing fangs. Its solid black body lets it blend into darkness, and sharp claws protrude from its ribs, adding to its terrifying appearance.

This character, also called the Nightmare Puppet, is a major villain in the game series, taking over the role of Nightmare while exhibiting similarly unsettling tendencies. He’s cruel and enjoys making his victims suffer before defeating them, driven by vengeance and a sadistic nature.

The Mimic

The Mimic is considered one of the most frightening animatronic characters in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series. It was first introduced in a downloadable expansion for Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach. Its skeletal form is particularly scary, and many fans believe it would be a truly terrifying addition to a Five Nights at Freddy’s movie.

The Mimic earned its name because it copies others, and its disturbing behavior stems from the abuse it suffered – it replicates those negative emotions. This makes the animatronic incredibly cruel and prone to violence. The Mimic will attack anyone for no reason, posing a serious threat to anyone inside the pizzeria and potentially making it a terrifying antagonist in a film.

What’s really frightening is that this creature can also copy voices, making it a potentially deadly animatronic. It could even imitate Abby’s voice to trick people into a dangerous situation. However, since the Five Nights at Freddy’s films are generally rated PG-13, a truly terrifying villain like the Mimic might be too intense for the series.
