Two absolutely GIGANTIC accounts on the XRP Ledger (which sounds terribly important, doesn’t it?) have suddenly sprung to life, stuffed to the gills with a whopping 200 million XRPs each. That’s a lot of whatsits, let me tell you! A fellow called Vet, who knows his XRPs from his elbows (apparently), spotted the whole thing. 🧐

The really peculiar bit? Someone seems to have slapped the wrong labels on these accounts. It’s like putting socks on your ears! Vet reckons, and he’s a clever chap, that the terribly important Ripple company probably doesn’t own these new accounts. Can you imagine the fuss if they did?

They’ve had a good look at Ripple’s list – a very official document called a “toml file” – which shows all the accounts Ripple *definitely* owns. And guess what? These new, enormous accounts aren’t on it. But – and this is a BIG but – Ripple might be keeping a few secret accounts up their sleeve. Sneaky, sneaky! 😈

Now, normal accounts (the ones that aren’t secret, obviously) are supposed to lead back to an account everyone knows. It’s like a trail of breadcrumbs, but with money. These accounts? A bit… vague. The XRPL validator (a sort of policeman for the XRP Ledger) isn’t saying for sure they aren’t Ripple’s. They just can’t prove it. Honestly, the confusion is enough to give you a headache!

Vet, being a very sensible sort, says accounts with that much XRP should have a very clear owner. It’s like a massive chocolate cake – you want to know who baked it! He added that these should be used for sending out the XRP, not just hoarding it. It’s all very complicated, you see. 🤯
