This week marks the Western release of Ys X: Proud Nordics on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, published by NIS America. We’ve created a guide to help players transfer their save data from the original Ys X: Nordics on PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC to the new versions, including details on transferring items, weapons, and accessories.
Can you transfer your progress from Ys X: Nordics to Ys X: Proud Nordics?
You can only start Ys X: Proud Nordics with a completed save file from Ys X: Nordics. Progress from your current game or story completion in Ys X: Nordics won’t transfer over. However, you can carry some things over to enjoy a New Game Plus experience. Details on what transfers are listed below.
What can you carry over into Ys X: Proud Nordics from a clear save file from Ys X: Nordics
In Ys X: Proud Nordics, if you choose “Transfer” from the main menu to start a new game with data from your previous Ys X: Nordics playthrough, you’ll be able to choose which details to carry over. Simply check or uncheck the options to customize your new game experience.
- Lv. / Release Line / Skills: Carry over character stats and related parameters.
- Accessory Slots (Blessed Paper Scraps): Carry over accessory slots and Blessed Paper Scraps.
- Mana Seeds: Carry over Mana Seeds.
- Sandras Enhancements: Carry over the Sandras’ stats and proposals. (Mana Sail and Mana Barrier will be unlocked as the main story progresses.)
- Weapons / Armor: Carry over weapons and armor.
- Accessories / Costumes / Attachments: Carry over accessories, costumes, and attachments (with some exceptions).
- Consumables: Carry over consumables such as solid medicines and ship supplies (with some exceptions).
- Rare Materials / Fish / Fishing Bait: Carry over rare materials, fish, and bait.
- Gold / Crystal Shards / Contribution Value: Carry over Gold, Crystal Shards, and Contribution Value.
- All Four Basic Material Types: Carry over Basic Craft Stock, Reagents, Beast Parts, and Ingredients.
- Replay Bonus: Empty Bottle x2, Empty Lunch Box x1: Start the game with two Emtpy Bottles and one Empty Lunch Box.
- Replay Bonus: All Four Basic Material Types x1000: Start the game with 1000 each of Basic Craft Stock, Reagents, Beast Parts, and Ingredients.
- Infinity Mode: Enemies will be stronger and drop more items than usual. Game balance assumes the use of carry-over data.
Ys X: Proud Nordics will be available in Western regions on February 20, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store). Players in Japan will be able to play it starting February 19, 2026, on PS5.
