refint/games has released update 1.0.1 for Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga on Nintendo Switch. This update adds visual improvements specifically for the Switch 2 console.
According to refint/games, this update will allow the Switch version of the game to run at 4K resolution with 60 frames per second when docked on the Nintendo Switch 2, and at 1080p with 60fps in handheld mode. It’s important to note that this isn’t a game built specifically for the Switch 2; these are visual enhancements achieved through backward compatibility.
I’ll be checking out the latest update and how well it works with the Switch, specifically testing if older versions are compatible. The complete list of changes in today’s update will be posted later today.

You can find Cullen’s review of the game here and my thoughts on the handheld and PC versions here.
Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga is now released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
