Your Survivor 50 Cast Survival Guide

The 50th season of Survivor is almost here, and it’s bringing a huge cast – 24 players who have appeared across all 49 previous seasons! That’s a lot to keep track of, especially if you don’t follow dedicated Survivor communities. But don’t let that stop you from tuning in – new and casual fans are welcome! If you’ve only seen some seasons, or even if you’ve partially watched them all, this spoiler-filled guide will introduce you to the players you’ll be seeing this season.

Jenna Lewis-Dougherty

Jenna Lewis-Dougherty competed in two seasons of Survivor: the first season, Borneo, and the eighth season, All-Stars. A particularly memorable moment occurred during Borneo when the contestants received letters from home, and Jenna was upset because her family hadn’t sent one. Although it’s been over 20 years since she last played, she previously competed alongside Colby Donaldson on All-Stars.

Colby Donaldson

This player competed in three seasons of Survivor: Australian Outback (season two), All-Stars (season eight), and Heroes vs. Villains (season 20). A standout moment was in his first season when, after winning five immunity challenges, he chose to bring Tina Wesson to the final two instead of Keith Famie, ultimately losing to her. He later played with Lewis-Dougherty on All-Stars. On Heroes vs. Villains, he was on the Heroes tribe with Cirie Fields (whom he voted out) and Stephenie LaGrossa (with whom he allied). They all competed against Benjamin “Coach” Wade, who was on the Villains tribe.

Stephenie LaGrossa

Cirie Fields has competed on several seasons of SurvivorPalau (season ten), Guatemala (season eleven), and Heroes vs. Villains (season twenty) – as well as season one of The Traitors. One of her most memorable moments was on Palau, where she was part of the Ulong tribe, which notoriously lost every immunity challenge. She ultimately became the sole remaining member of Ulong and was left alone on her tribe’s beach. Cirie also appeared on Heroes vs. Villains alongside players like Tyson Donaldson, Russell Hantz, and Parvati Shallow, and competed on The Traitors with Parvati, who unexpectedly betrayed her.

Cirie Fields

Parvati Shallow has competed on five seasons of reality television: Survivor: Panama (season 12), Survivor: Micronesia (season 16), Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains (season 20), Survivor: Game Changers (season 34), and season one of The Traitors, as well as Big Brother 25. She’s particularly remembered for her strategic gameplay on Micronesia, where she was a key member of the “Black Widow Brigade” – a group of women who systematically eliminated strong male players.

Throughout her appearances, Parvati has crossed paths with several other notable players. She famously voted out Ozzy Lusth on Micronesia but later mended fences with him on Game Changers. She also eliminated Natalie LaGrossa twice, once on Heroes vs. Villains and again on The Traitors. She never played alongside Drew Wade, as Donaldson voted her out of Heroes vs. Villains before they could be on the same tribe. On Game Changers, she formed an alliance with Aubry Bracco, but neither of them ultimately won the season.

Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth

Jonathan Lusth competed on four seasons of Survivor: Cook Islands (season 13), Micronesia (season 16), South Pacific (season 23), and Game Changers (season 34). He’s best remembered for his strong performance in challenges during his first season, which helped his alliance, the ‘Aitu Four,’ succeed. This season, he’s facing some familiar faces who have previously voted him out. On Micronesia, Fields led the charge to eliminate him, even though he had an immunity idol. Wade then blindsided him at the final four on South Pacific. While Bracco and Fields didn’t vote for him when he was eliminated during the merge on Game Changers, their past betrayals are still fresh in his mind.

Coach Wade

Wade competed on three seasons of Survivor: Tocantins (season 18), Heroes vs. Villains (season 20), and South Pacific (season 23). He’s best known for a dramatic moment after being sent to Exile Island – he returned to a challenge claiming to have had a revelation and then aggressively tried to compete, ultimately losing and being voted out. Wade played with Donaldson, LaGrossa, and Fields on Heroes vs. Villains, but was eliminated before they could really interact. He later appeared on South Pacific and betrayed Lusth at the final four.

Aubry Bracco

Aubrey Bracco competed on three seasons of Survivor: Kaôh Rōng, Game Changers, and Edge of Extinction. She’s best known for a strategic move on Game Changers where she convinced Tai Trang to switch alliances and vote out a dominant group of male players. Despite playing a strong and controlling game, she didn’t win because those she defeated refused to vote for her. She played with Fields on Game Changers, and while she didn’t collaborate closely with Lusth, they were both on the same season. She also got to know Rick Devens while competing on Edge of Extinction.

Chrissy Hofbeck

Season: Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers (Season 35)

Most Memorable Moment: Despite dominating much of the season, Lauren Hofbeck lost to Ben Driebergen in the final tribal council. Even though he lost the immunity challenge, a last-minute twist allowed Ben to compete in the final three by winning a fire-making challenge, and he ultimately won by a narrow margin.

Unique Fact: Lauren was one of only three players on the season who hadn’t previously played with any of the other castaways.

Christian Hubicki

Christian Hubicki is known for his impressive performance on Survivor: David vs. Goliath (season 37). His most memorable moment was enduring over five hours on a wooden pole during an immunity challenge, determined to beat Alec Merlino and avoid being voted out. To cope with the pain, he talked about science! While he played with Angelina Keeley and Mike White, he wasn’t as close to them. They ultimately voted him out before the final round, and had even tried to eliminate him earlier in the game.

Angelina Keeley

Keeley competed on season 37 of Survivor: David vs. Goliath. She’s most remembered for her role in voting out Natalia Azoqa, then cheekily asking Azoqa for her jacket right before she was eliminated – a request Azoqa didn’t grant! Keeley formed an alliance with fellow contestant White during the show, and he later invited her to appear on season two of his show, The White Lotus.

Mike White

Christian Hubicki competed on Survivor: David vs. Goliath (season 37). One of his most memorable moments was during the final feast when he jokingly commented on Keeley’s attempts to gain an advantage while they both had wine. He originally met both Hubicki and Keeley on Survivor, but he only worked with Keeley again on The White Lotus.

Rick Devens

Devens competed on Survivor: Edge of Extinction (season 38). His most notable moment was being voted out early, then dramatically returning to the game after winning the Edge of Extinction challenge. He became a strong player by finding multiple hidden immunity idols, ultimately finishing in fourth place after losing to the winner, Chris Underwood, in a Final Four challenge. Devens and Bracco bonded while both were initially voted off on Edge of Extinction before Devens successfully re-entered the competition.

Jonathan Young

Season: Survivor 42
Most Memorable Moment: During a challenge involving large waves, Young powerfully led his tribe to victory. His performance was so dominant that the challenge had to be modified for the other tribes, removing the water portion altogether.
Connections: Young is one of only three players on the season who had never previously competed with any of the other contestants.

Dianelys “Dee” Valladares

During Survivor 45, Kenzie Valladares was involved in some major strategic moments. Her boyfriend, Austin Li Coon, warned her about a plan to vote out Julie Alley, leading Kenzie to reveal the plan and Julie to play her idol. The following week, Kenzie remained silent when the tribe targeted Drew Basile, and he was ultimately voted out. Kenzie and Emily Flippen were also on the same season, and Kenzie was responsible for Flippen’s elimination after Julie played her idol.

Emily Flippen

Season: Survivor 45
Most Memorable Moment: Dee Valladares initially made a poor impression on her tribe and nearly got voted out first. However, with guidance from Kaleb Gebrewold, she dramatically improved her social game, reaching the top seven and even outlasting Kaleb.
Relationships: Dee might still be upset with Kaleb, who voted her out. Interestingly, she also voted for Kaleb to win the game, suggesting a complex relationship.

Quintavius “Q” Burdette

Season: Survivor 46
Most memorable moment: Burdette was a truly unique player, and one of his most shocking moves was threatening to quit when he didn’t agree with who the group planned to vote out. This caused enough chaos that the vote actually changed to the person he wanted to eliminate.

Who they know: He initially formed an alliance with Tiffany Ervin, but their partnership fell apart as Burdette became increasingly unpredictable. Notably, he didn’t cast his vote for Charlie Davis at the Final Tribal Council.

Charlie Davis

During Survivor 46, Davis played a dominant game alongside Maria Shrime Gonzalez, but ultimately betrayed her to improve his chances at the Final Tribal Council. Maria, upset by this move, chose to vote against Davis, resulting in his loss. While he knew Burdette and Ervin, Davis didn’t form close alliances with either of them.

Tiffany Ervin

This player competed on Survivor 46. A standout moment was her strong advocacy for her friend Petty to win after being eliminated from the game relatively early in the merge – and her efforts were successful. She developed a fierce rivalry with Burdette, and her support for Petty ultimately contributed to Davis losing the game.

Genevieve Mushaluk

Season: Survivor 47
Highlight: While struggling in her tribe, Mushaluk was key to a daring and complex plan, nicknamed “Operation Italy,” which needed flawless teamwork from three players.
Unique Fact: She’s one of three players who hadn’t previously played with anyone else on the cast.

Kyle Fraser

Season: Survivor 48
Most Memorable Moment: Fraser won by playing a masterful double game. He publicly sided with the power players, Joe Hunter and Eva Erickson, but secretly worked with Kamilla Karthigesu, who gave him inside information from the opposing alliance. At the final Tribal Council, he revealed how he’d been undermining Hunter and Erickson all along, securing his victory.

Who They Know: Fraser is returning with two of his closest allies from the season: Hunter and Karthigesu.

Joe Hunter

During Survivor 48, Hunter had a particularly memorable moment when he connected with Erickson, who shared that she is autistic. He offered her comfort during a difficult moment in front of the entire tribe, even though it could have jeopardized their strategic position in the game. Hunter collaborated closely with Fraser, but Fraser ultimately betrayed him at the Final Tribal Council. He also played the game alongside Karthigesu.

Kamilla Karthigesu

Karthigesu played on Survivor 48. Her most notable moment was being part of a secret alliance with Fraser throughout the entire season, during which she discovered her skill at deception. She and Fraser were incredibly close, and she also secretly plotted against Hunter for the whole game.

Savannah Louie

As a huge ‘Survivor’ fan, I was really captivated by Louie from Season 49. While that brutal merge vote didn’t go her way, she absolutely crushed it in the immunity challenges – tying the record for the most wins by a female player! Making it to the end after that was seriously impressive. I also remember she had a really strong connection with Rizo Velovic throughout their season; they were clearly close allies.

Rizo Velovic

During Survivor 49, Velovic and Louie consistently found themselves as underdogs. Velovic skillfully found and kept a hidden immunity idol secret from no one, using intimidation to reach the final stages without ever needing to use it. Ultimately, he lost to Louie in the fire-making challenge. Throughout the entire season, Velovic and Louie were closely aligned and worked together.
