Your actions in Cyberpunk 2077 are watched by a predator. It’s not quite as scary as in the movie, but it’s still disturbing

Good cyberpunk games always include Easter Eggs – hidden references and jokes that let developers honor the things that influenced them, or just have some fun. Cyberpunk 2077 is full of these too, with nods to characters like Johnny Silverhand and even a secret reference to Ciri.

So, I was playing the other day and stumbled across something seriously creepy! I noticed someone was watching me, but they were totally invisible. It was like they were cloaked, and it instantly reminded me of the Predator movies – that’s how good the camouflage was! It was a really cool easter egg to find, honestly.

V vs. Predator

Some players had already discovered this hidden character and were excited to share information about him. It’s possible to scan him, and when you do, you’ll find out he’s a MaxTac agent who also left a strange note on the roof.

Okay, so it turns out V and this hidden character have a history together. The jungle vibes – I noticed them in both the note and where we actually met – are a dead giveaway that this is a reference to that classic movie. And calling this guy a ‘monster’ just makes the whole thing even more mysterious, honestly. I’m really curious to find out what’s going on!

You can start this encounter by going to the roof of a building in the spaceport of Phantom Liberty – that’s where the agent will be. MaxTac usually deals with cyberpsychosis and takes down dangerous criminals, so it makes sense they’d be interested in V.

The agent’s weaponry may offer clues to their identity:

Please be aware that this individual is equipped with older-model mantis blades, specifically the Higurashi 20-13 type, which are identical to those used by Maxtac operative Melissa Rory.

We only see her in ‘combat mode’ twice: once in a Cyberpunk teaser where she appears as a recognizable woman on the street with mantis blades activated, and again when she enters a clothing store within the game.

Honestly, it would be amazing if getting more cybernetic implants and perks attracted more attention from MaxTac. Imagine them constantly watching you, waiting to see if you lose control and go cyberpsycho. And if you did snap and then recovered, it could even trigger a side quest where your MaxTac stalker interrogates you about what happened.
