As a regular blood donor, I was really concerned to hear the Red Cross is seeing fewer people come in to donate right now – and it’s a particularly important time, with the holidays approaching and patient needs high. They’re really asking anyone who’s able to make an appointment and donate, because blood supplies are getting low. Think about it – donations help everyone from people injured in accidents and burns, to those battling cancer or sickle cell disease. Every pint really does make a difference, and they need our help to keep the shelves stocked!
I’m so glad to hear that if you donate blood in November, you’ll also get a free A1C test! It’s great they’re including this, because the A1C test is a really helpful way to check for diabetes and prediabetes – it’s like a little extra health benefit on top of doing something good for others.
As a huge Pac-Man fan, it’s been awesome seeing all the love for the game lately! Not only did Google celebrate Pac-Man‘s 45th anniversary with a fun Halloween Doodle, but they also released ‘Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac’ back in September, and it’s packed with a ton of cool new stuff. It’s great to see a classic get so much attention, alongside important organizations like the Red Cross.
