
The new series spun off from Yellowstone is now officially titled Marshals. Originally announced as Y: Marshals and co-created by Yellowstone‘s Taylor Sheridan, the ‘Y:’ was later removed from promotional materials. CBS has now confirmed that Marshals is the final, official title.
The representative didn’t explain the change to the new Marshals title. While it likely simplifies the title and makes it easier to read by removing the Y:, it also disconnects it from the show it originated from, Yellowstone.
This might make people think it’s connected to a future project, though that project is still several years away. This announcement follows Paramount’s recent news about a different series created by Sheridan.
