After Yellowstone concluded a few weeks ago, viewers of the Taylor Sheridan series are left puzzled by an unexplained demise – this mystery doesn’t revolve around John or Jamie Dutton.

In Yellowstone’s fifth season’s second part, there were numerous fatalities. For the grand conclusion, John Sheridan went above and beyond, and unfortunately or fortunately, viewers experienced multiple gruesome demises.

In simpler terms, the last few episodes began by unexpectedly ending John Dutton’s life. Following this shocking event, Sarah Atwood and Jamie Dutton met their untimely ends in equally distressing circumstances.

However, another character from Yellowstone met an untimely end, a fate that seems undeserved for this particular character.

In the twelfth episode of Season 5 titled “Counting Coup,” viewers were taken aback as Colby met his untimely end following repeated kicks from a furious steed.

The situation was completely unforeseen, making Colby’s demise one of the most shocking and heartbreaking throughout the entire series. However, the choice to end his character didn’t come without controversy. And even though the show wrapped up on December 15th, fans are still puzzled as to why he had to meet his fate.

As a passionate fan, I’ve been pondering over why our favorite creator, Taylor Sheridan, decided to write off Colby in Yellowstone. Was it for the dramatic impact? Did he yearn to explore new roles beyond the Yellowstone universe? Or was it due to prior obligations that prevented him from reprising his role? Given the character’s growth and potential, I find myself curious about your thoughts on why Taylor chose this particular narrative path.

As a gamer peering into the narrative unfolding before me, it’s clear that Sheridan didn’t pick the decision to eliminate one of those seemingly ordinary ranch hands lightly. It seems there’s no straightforward explanation for his choice.
