I was so excited watching the latest Yakuza Kiwami 3 Direct! It looks like Kiryu’s finally found some peace running an orphanage in Okinawa, but of course, trouble finds him. Some people are trying to take the orphanage away from him and the kids, and he has to fight to protect them. He’s learned a new fighting style inspired by Okinawa called Ryukyu Style, and it looks awesome! They also showed off some upgraded combat, fun new minigames, and this cool new ‘Bad Boy Dragon’ mode – it all looks fantastic and I can’t wait to play!

In the new game, Bad Boy Dragon, players take on the role of Kiryu and must build a team of streetwise characters to defend Okinawa. As the leader of the Haisai Girls gang, you’ll train them to become the most powerful girl gang in Japan. You can battle with your allies in team fights, equip and customize up to 20 gang members for large-scale battles, or lead charges on enemy bases with your motorcycle. In the game Dark Ties, players help Yoshitaka Mine support his colleague, Tsuyoshi Kanda, as Kanda tries to improve his standing within the organization. This involves completing various side cases, resolving local problems, and tackling missions throughout the city – a section of the game known as Kanda Damage Control.

In the new Hell’s Arena update, players take on the role of Mine, a fighter who must use both strength and strategy to win brutal battles in an underground fight club. Her goal is to dismantle the Arena’s organization, which is interfering with the Nishikiyama Family’s business. Players will compete in two main event types: ‘Hellish Brawls,’ intense one-on-one fights, and ‘Survival Hell,’ dangerous races through dungeons filled with treasure, where players are constantly pursued by relentless hunters. You can find more information about the fight club and what awaits at the end of each Survival Hell dungeon by clicking here.
