WWE Announces First-Ever Premium Live Event in Paris

WWE, belonging to TKO Holdings, will reappear prominently in Europe as they prepare for their initial stadium event in nearly three years. They have announced “Clash in Paris,” which is scheduled for August 31 at the Paris La Défense Arena.

Paris will host the inaugural WWE Premium Live Event (PLE), marking the first time such an event takes place in the city. Despite this, France made a significant impact on the worldwide wrestling community last year when they hosted the Backlash PLE in Lyon. The crowd that evening was particularly energetic and is still fondly remembered for their rendition of “Il est vraiment phénomenal,” a popular French soccer song, for WWE superstar “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles.

The first-ever WWE Premium Live Event in Paris has been announced. Although France hosted a similar event last year in Lyon, the crowd’s energy and their singing of a French soccer song for wrestler AJ Styles made a lasting impression.

Last year, the reaction in Lyon, France surpassed arena records and volume limits, showcasing the intense enthusiasm of our WWE fans in France. We anticipate that Clash in Paris and Raw will entice people worldwide to Paris, resulting in another grand event.” – Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE Chief Content Officer.

The upcoming Clash event in Paris is set to take place at the Paris La Défense Arena, Europe’s largest indoor stadium, which has previously played host to renowned global artists such as Taylor Swift, The Rolling Stones, and Bruce Springsteen. The announcement of Clash in Paris comes after a string of successful WWE events in Europe, including Glasgow’s Clash at the Castle in June and Bash in Berlin in August.

On September 1st, I’m thrilled to share that not only will Paris play host to Clash, but Monday Night Raw will also be broadcast from the same venue! This double-header event schedule promises an extended chance for French fans to witness live WWE action right in their city.
