After the positive reception of WWE 2K23, 2K24, and 2K25, the series is aiming for even greater success with the upcoming 2K26. Featuring CM Punk on the cover and a showcase mode dedicated to his career, 2K26 has just added two new wrestlers to its growing list of playable characters.
The new WWE 2K game is expected to have a huge number of playable characters, and 2K has confirmed that Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce, who manage Friday Night SmackDown and Monday Night RAW respectively, will both be included as characters you can play as.
Aldis and Pearce have appeared in many 2K games before, but always as background characters. Now, for the first time, players will be able to control them in the game, moving them beyond their usual non-playable roles.
The newly released video reveals that both Aldis and Pearce will be playable characters in the game, each with their own unique entrance sequences. Aldis will appear in his signature red wrestling tights, entering to the tune of “God Save the King.” WWE 2K26 highlighted this on social media, playfully referring to Aldis as “The National Treasure!”

RAW General Manager Adam Pearce appeared in new footage wearing wrestling gear reminiscent of his days in Ring of Honor. WWE 2K26’s social media team posted the clip with a message seemingly from CM Punk: “Adam, you might want to check this out.”

Although Aldis, age 39, hasn’t wrestled for WWE before, he last competed in an independent wrestling event in 2023. Pearce, 47, did wrestle for WWE in 2021, appearing in two matches. He wrestled on the January 8th episode of SmackDown and on the March 1st episode of RAW, where he and Braun Strowman lost a tag team match against The Hurt Business. That RAW match was the last time Pearce wrestled professionally.
Even with all the exciting new features coming to the game this year, the introduction of Aldis and Pearce as playable characters is still a surprise.
