As news about WWE 2K25 gathers pace, we’ve got our first big reveal: the Deluxe Edition is now out in the open! Although the main cover athlete for WWE 2K25 hasn’t been confirmed yet (we might find out tonight during WWE Raw on Netflix), The Undertaker has been announced as the star of the Deadman Edition.
WWE 2K25 Deadman Edition Revealed, Signals 2K Showcase
Information about the standard edition cover star for WWE 2K25 and other details are set to be unveiled tonight during WWE Raw on Netflix, as well as tomorrow, January 28th. However, WWE Games has already shared a significant piece of news: The Undertaker will feature prominently in the Deluxe Edition of WWE 2K25, as confirmed via Twitter.
The tweet only shared the cover image for the WWE 2K25 Deadman Edition and announced that it would be dubbed as such. A full reveal, including details about the contents of the edition and whether a physical collector’s edition will be released, is expected on January 28, which should coincide with the start of pre-orders across various platforms.

As a die-hard fan, I’m speculating that The Undertaker on the deluxe edition suggests that WWE 2K Showcase this time around will be all about his illustrious career. Previous editions of 2K Showcase, like those featuring John Cena and Rey Mysterio, have spotlighted their respective careers. Interestingly, WWE 2K24 took a slightly different approach with the Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition and a 2K Showcase recounting significant WrestleMania moments.
After his unbeaten streak of 21 matches and several more following its end, there are numerous possible Undertaker matchups that might be included in the WWE 2K25 Showcase Mode. However, a key point of discussion will be Brock Lesnar, who was excluded from last year’s game due to allegations against him in a sex trafficking lawsuit involving the WWE. Since this news emerged, Lesnar has not appeared in the WWE. The way they handle Lesnar in the WWE 2K Showcase could indicate whether the WWE has chosen to fully distance itself from him moving forward.
