A woman in Spain was fired from her job and won’t receive any compensation because she consistently arrived at work excessively early. A court agreed with her employer that the dismissal was justified.
A worker at a delivery company in Alicante is facing issues because she consistently arrived at work 30 to 45 minutes before her shift was scheduled to begin. Despite repeated warnings from her manager, she continued to come in early.
Putting in extra hours wasn’t the problem, the court found. The issue was that she was arriving before the facility was even open and before any other staff were present, so she couldn’t do her job. The court considered these early arrivals a violation of her work schedule, just like being repeatedly late would be.
“Disobedient” employee fired for showing up to work early
So, the judge basically said my actions broke the company’s trust in me. The official ruling called what I did a ‘serious mistake’ and confirmed they’re allowed to fire me without paying me anything. It’s rough, but that’s what the judge decided.

The court pointed out three important things. First, she consistently ignored her manager’s directions, even after being told multiple times not to.
Additionally, her failure to follow the schedule disrupted work and undermined the employer’s trust.
Finally, the court found that she logged some of her end-of-shift times after she’d already left work, reportedly indicating she’d traveled a significant distance before officially clocking out.
With all three issues combined, the court concluded that the firing was lawful and appropriate.
