The popular fantasy role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons has become even more valuable thanks to the massive success of Baldur’s Gate 3 (which earned Hasbro $90 million). As a result, Wizards of the Coast is planning to create more games based on the Dungeons & Dragons system. At The Game Awards 2025, they revealed one of these new titles: you can watch the trailer for Warlock below.
Warlock is a single-player action game with adventure aspects, offering a unique experience in a dark and fantastical open world reminiscent of Dungeons & Dragons. Developed by Invoke Studios, the game puts you in the role of Kaatri, a powerful warrior who gains magical abilities by making a pact to combat the encroaching darkness.
The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It’s scheduled to launch in 2027, and we’ll get our first look at gameplay footage in the summer of 2026.
