Though Stranger Things has ended, Millie Bobby Brown will continue working with Netflix, appearing in the third season of another popular show. Following her recent collaboration with Tim Burton and Jenna Ortega on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the actress has taken on a guest role in the new season.
Winona Ryder isn’t the first well-known actor to join the show – Christina Ricci appeared in Season 1, and established stars like Steve Buscemi, Christopher Lloyd, and Lady Gaga were featured in Season 2. A recent announcement video revealed Ryder will play a character named “Tabitha” in the new season, though details are still scarce. Both Ryder and director Tim Burton seem excited about working together again, as Burton stated in a press release:
I’m thrilled Winona’s joined the team – she’s a natural fit, and a wonderful friend. I always feel fortunate to collaborate with her.
Al Gough and Miles Millar, the creators of the show, praised Winona Ryder as the best at playing outcasts, highlighting her iconic collaborations with Tim Burton and the memorable characters they’ve created together. They enjoyed working with her on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and were excited to have her join the cast.
Ryder joins the cast of Wednesday as a major addition, coming after Eva Green was announced to play Ophelia Addams, Morticia’s sister who will appear in Season 2.
The New Cast of ‘Wednesday’ Includes More Familiar Faces

From the beginning, “Wednesday” has attracted some well-known guest stars, and that trend continues with the upcoming third season. Currently filming in Ireland—likely meaning new episodes will be available on Netflix around 2027—Ryder and Green are just two of the new faces viewers can expect.
The cast now includes Chris Sarandon, known for his roles in 80s favorites like Fright Night and The Princess Bride, and as the voice of Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas. He’ll play a new character named Balthazar. Joining him are Noah Taylor, who starred in Game of Thrones and Peaky Blinders, Oscar Morgan from A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and Kennedy Moyer, recently seen in Channing Tatum’s Roofman and the HBO series Task.
The cast is growing with some exciting new additions, joining the many talented actors returning from last season, including Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Billie Piper, Fred Armisen, Isaac Ordonez, Joy Sunday, Victor Dorobantu, Joanna Lumley, and others.
