Will Georgie & Mandy’s Mary And Audrey Ever Get Along? Zoe Perry Gave Her Honest Opinion

Be warned – this article contains spoilers for the latest episode of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, titled “Bitin’, Spankin’ and a Load of Yankee Psychobabble.” If you haven’t seen it yet, you can stream the episode with a Paramount+ subscription, but proceed with caution!

The episode “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” focused on the growing tension within the McAllister family as they struggled with Cee Cee’s increasingly challenging behavior. Georgie and Mandy moved in with Georgie’s mother, Mary, who enjoyed being the center of attention as a grandmother. This episode also gave Zoe Perry’s character a significant amount of screen time, continuing a trend from Season 2.

Earlier episodes of Season 2 focused on Mary starting to date again and even finding a boyfriend. As the show Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage nears its end in 2025, Perry discussed her storylines with TVLine, and shared her thoughts on the ongoing conflict between Mary and Audrey.

Zoe Perry Shares Her Thoughts On Mary And Audrey’s Feud

Zoe Perry was asked about the ongoing conflict between Mary and Audrey, which began shortly after they first worked together on Young Sheldon. She explained that the two actresses just can’t seem to resolve their differences, and believes this is because they actually have a lot more in common than they realize.

It’s actually quite ironic how much these two have in common, especially considering their bad blood. It’s a pattern we often see – people who are very alike can end up clashing the most, even within families. I’m interested to see how things develop between them, and honestly, I think they could become friends. Their shared qualities and perspectives create a real opportunity for connection, and things could easily shift in a positive direction.

Zoe Perry thinks Mary and Audrey might eventually become friends, despite their difficult history. However, after watching the most recent episode, I doubt that will happen anytime soon, particularly now that Missy is joining the McAllisters for their Christmas trip.

How I Feel About Mary And Audrey Potentially Burying The Hatchet

Look, I’m not opposed to Mary and Audrey becoming friends eventually, but honestly, I’d prefer it doesn’t happen too soon. Right now, their friction is the only real source of drama we’ve got on the show, so I’m hoping the writers will hold off on that reconciliation until Georgie and Mandy’s marriage inevitably falls apart – that’s where the real drama should be, anyway.

More On Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage

Both ‘Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage’ and ‘Shifting Gears’ featured surprisingly similar storylines this week, but I definitely found one of them more amusing.

Besides Georgie and Mandy, Jim, Connor, and Missy are the most reliable options for looking after Cee Cee, especially if there’s trouble when the couple decides to separate. If it ends up going to court, they’re the most likely to be chosen as caregivers.

I’m hoping Mary and Audrey will eventually resolve their ongoing conflict, but for the story to work, they need to stay at odds for now. I actually like how things are currently developing in the show, so there’s no need to force any changes to the CBS series.
