Will Cain Takes Over Fox News Channel’s 4 P.M. Slot

Fox & Friends weekend co-host Will Cain is set to assume the 4 PM slot on Fox News Channel, previously held for years by Neil Cavuto. This move is one of several adjustments being made to daytime and weekend programming at both Fox News and its affiliate, Fox Business Network.

Starting the following week, on January 21st, Cain is set to assume a brand-new hosting position. His program, titled “The Will Cain Show,” will take over from “Your World.

At 4 PM, we’re thrilled to welcome Will Cain, with his extensive background as a skilled broadcaster and lawyer, who brings valuable perspectives to the table. Suzanne Scott, CEO of Fox News Media, expressed this anticipation in a statement, looking forward to another eventful year filled with significant news cycles.

Starting next week, the network is going to introduce a fresh format during prime time hours that might be new to long-time viewers. As announced by Fox News, Cain’s upcoming show will provide a detailed overview of daily news events in a distinctive podcast manner. Cain’s final appearance on “Fox & Friends Weekend” will air on January 18, and he will commence his new late-afternoon weekday role from January 21. Charlie Hurt, who was the opinion editor at The Washington Times, is set to replace Cain on the weekend program, meaning he will relinquish that position.

The network is changing its prime time format a bit starting next week, which might be different for regular viewers. Fox News has revealed that Cain’s new show will present news of the day in a unique podcast style. Cain’s last episode on “Fox & Friends Weekend” will air on January 18, and he will start his new late-afternoon weekday job from January 21. Charlie Hurt, who used to be the opinion editor at The Washington Times, is taking over from Cain on the weekend show, so he’ll no longer hold that position.

Prior to hosting a daily radio program at ESPN and participating in the morning debate show “First Take”, Cain served as a political analyst for CNN, hosted on The Blaze network, and engaged in media entrepreneurship. His academic background includes earning a law degree from the University of Texas and an undergraduate degree from Pepperdine University.

Scott announced some modifications in the schedule. Beginning weekends, “The Fox Report” will shift to 3 PM and extend to a duration of two hours every Saturday and Sunday. Similarly, “The Big Weekend Show” will extend to a span of two hours, commencing at 6 PM. Meanwhile, “Fox News Live” will remain on the air from 10 AM to noon, with various temporary anchors filling in during this period. Lastly, “The Journal Editorial Report” will be moved to 2 PM on Saturdays.

On Fox Business, Degen McDowell is set to take on additional responsibilities, as she joins “The Big Money Show.” This popular program is extending its airtime, starting at noon every weekday. Degen will be sharing market updates with Taylor Riggs, Jackie DeAngelis, and Brian Brenberg during this expanded broadcast. However, she will still co-host “The Bottom Line” on the network in the early evening hours.
