While the creators are still finding the right mix of stories about Georgie and Mandy, and their families, it’s clear that Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is starting to become its own unique show, separate from Young Sheldon.

So far this season of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, CBS has revisited the Cooper family, who still live in Texas, a few times. The show is also making viewers really like the McAllisters. Meanwhile, Georgie and Mandy are both busy with their careers: Georgie is working hard with Ruben to keep their business afloat, and Mandy is trying to get her job back as a weather reporter now that she’s back in Medford.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Is Taking A Break For Thanksgiving

Now that it’s been consistently releasing episodes since its October premiere, season 2 of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is pausing for a short break during Thanksgiving week. Last year, the show—a sequel to Young Sheldon—marked the holiday with an episode that brought Mary, Missy, and Georgie together on screen for the first time since their father’s passing. However, this season, the show is skipping a Thanksgiving episode, as most programs on CBS are also taking a break this week.

CBS is broadcasting the Duke versus Arkansas NCAA game tonight, starting at 8 PM Eastern Time. The game is expected to run until around 10 PM Eastern, which will likely delay the programs scheduled to air after “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.”

When Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Returns & What To Expect In The New Episode

Good news for fans of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage! After a brief pause, season 2 will be back on CBS starting December 4th. The seventh episode, titled “A Bus Bench and Faith out the Wazoo,” will kick things off. This episode reignites the rivalry between Audrey and Mary, as Georgie enlists their help with the tire shop. Plus, Jim faces a reality check about getting older when he has to visit the DMV.

It’s worth noting this is Mary’s second appearance in season 2 of – she previously discussed starting to date again. Viewers will be curious to see if this past issue is brought up when she returns, but it’s clear CBS isn’t finished with the drama between Mary and Audrey.
