In just a few seasons, The Traitors has become a hugely popular and award-winning reality show. The recent three-episode premiere of Season 4, available on Peacock, has already given us some great moments, like when Momma Kelce was eliminated. This season is also making history with two cast members from The Real Housewives chosen as Traitors, which promises to shake up the game in exciting ways.
The cast for Season 4 of The Traitors is impressive, and I’m especially excited to see Lisa Rinna and Candiace Dillard Bassett compete. It was a great surprise when they were both revealed as Traitors by host Alan Cumming, which completely changes how these reality TV veterans will play against contestants from Survivor and Big Brother. I think this season will redefine how we see Bravo stars perform on the show in the future.
Two Housewives Being Traitors Will Change Their Perception Forever
Throughout the first three seasons of The Traitors, Real Housewives contestants haven’t always had the best track record. Brandi Glanville was quickly eliminated in Season 1, and others like Shereé Whitfield and Dolores Catania from The Real Housewives of New Jersey struggled to figure out who the traitors were. Dolores actually won her season, but spent most of her votes at the Round Table on Tom Sandoval, which many fans found surprising.
In Season 3, the Traitors, particularly Bob The Drag Queen, strategically eliminated the Housewives one by one. This meant players like Dorinda Medley and Robyn Dixon didn’t have much opportunity to compete. It’s likely this is why Rinna and Candiace were chosen early in Season 4 by Alan Cumming to join the Traitors.

As a huge fan of reality TV, I was thrilled to discover The Traitors is a Peacock exclusive! Peacock subscriptions start at just $7.99 a month, or you can go for a yearly plan at $79.99. If you’re like me and hate ads, or want to download episodes to watch on the go, their Premium or Premium Plus plans are definitely worth checking out. It’s a small price to pay for some seriously addictive viewing!
I was shocked when these two popular Bravo stars were revealed as Traitors and given the ability to secretly eliminate other players. We’ve already seen that Housewives approach the game differently than Gamers, like when Phaedra Parks played so well in Season 2. The new Traitors are benefiting from being underestimated – for example, Candiace cleverly distracted everyone with a Conga line while her partners carried out a murder right in front of everyone.

After the fourth season, viewers will probably see the Housewives differently, and I’m hoping that leads to fairer competition in future seasons. Candiace and Rinna have already shown they’re smart players who can also stay under the radar, as we’ve seen in the first few episodes. Ideally, Bravo will let all the stars compete on a level playing field going forward, and avoid the targeting we saw last season. However, if Candiace and Rinna succeed in their strategy, it might make them even bigger targets for other players.
You can watch new episodes of The Traitors on Peacock every Thursday as part of the 2026 season. I’m really excited to see how the cast continues to navigate the twists and turns of this deceptive game!
