Okay, so Jujutsu Kaisen’s Culling Arc is getting really intense, and I was super hyped for this week’s episode… but there isn’t one! It’s kinda typical for anime, unfortunately – they often take a break, and it looks like that’s what’s happening here.
Okay, so Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen is finally covering the Culling Game arc. Basically, Kenjaku cooked up this insane, deadly battle royale for sorcerers, and it’s been a wild ride so far! It’s a total free-for-all where everyone’s just trying to survive.
This season has brought new characters and introduced dangerous new curses.
The latest episode, ‘Tokyo Colony No. 1,’ was released last week, but a new episode won’t be available this week.
Why is there no Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 8 this week?

Ugh, bummer! No new episode of Jujutsu Kaisen this week – they’re taking a break. But don’t worry, it’s just a short one, and we’ll be back next week to see what happens with the Culling Games!
As a long-time anime fan, I’m pretty used to seeing these short breaks happen. It’s just how anime production works – they’re always rushing to finish episodes right before they air, so things can get delayed sometimes.
As a gamer, I know how important breaks are, and it’s the same for the animators who make the games I love! They need time to recharge so they don’t burn out, and to really nail those important scenes. Taking a breather lets them polish everything and keep the quality super high, which means a better experience for me!
JJK director Hiromi Niwa addresses delay
Hiromi Niwa, the chief animation director for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, explained the recent delay on social media, saying a recap episode will help viewers get ready for what’s coming next.
Now that Yuji and the others have fully entered the Culling Game, this recap is a great way to refresh everyone’s memory of the characters’ goals and feelings. You can watch it all at once, or enjoy it alongside the new episodes as they air. We hope you continue to enjoy the story!

Niwa noted that a recap episode is useful now that Itadori and his friends have entered the Culling Game, as it provides a good reminder of what each character wants and how they’re feeling.
He mentioned that while it’s enjoyable to watch many episodes at once, it’s also nice when everyone watches a show at the same time and can experience it together.
Niwa believes it’s a great time to start watching Jujutsu Kaisen, especially with episode 55 coming up (which is the eighth episode of the current season). They encourage even newcomers to the series to jump in and give it a try.
I’m really eager for the story to pick up around episode 55. To get a quick understanding of what’s happened so far, next week’s recap should be ideal.
When will Episode 8 drop?
