You might assume the most important part of your Arc Raiders account is your weapons and gear, but it’s actually your pet chicken! When you begin playing, you’ll receive Scrappy, a chicken that automatically gathers resources for you while you’re fighting enemies. You can even upgrade Scrappy to make it even more efficient at collecting those resources.

Just like other upgrades in Arc Raiders, improving Scrappy requires specific materials each time you level it up. To get Scrappy to level three, you’ll need three lemons and three apricots. It sounds simple, but lemons and apricots are surprisingly hard to find in the game!

Lemon and apricot locations in Arc Raiders

You can find lemons and apricots lying on the ground under trees. You can also shake fruit loose by kicking the trees, adding to your supplies. Keep in mind that the number of trees available changes with each game. Lemons and apricots are highlighted as ‘green’ loot, making them easier to spot among other items on the ground.

When you start a match, your first step should be to check your map for areas marked with the “Nature” icon. These spots usually have the most trees, though it’s not a certainty. You might find trees elsewhere too, but these areas won’t have any lemons or apricots, even if you kick the trees.

To find lemons and apricots in Arc Raiders, your best bet is the Olive Grove area on The Blue Gate map. It’s on the southern side, just below the Checkpoint. You’ll find lots of trees there, and usually either lemons or apricots – sometimes both! As the name suggests, you’ll also find plenty of olives in this location.

Olive Grove isn’t a particularly dangerous place on The Blue Gate map, but you need to be careful of other players who are collecting lemons and apricots. It’s become a popular spot for gathering these fruits, so even players who aren’t interested in them might hang around hoping to ambush those trying to improve Scrappy.

If you’re looking for lemons and apricots in Arc Raiders and don’t want to get them from trees, you can find them in baskets scattered around the maps. You’ll find these baskets inside many buildings and houses. The Buried City map is the best place to search, especially around the Grandioso Apartments and Santa Maria Houses.

If you’re looking for lemons and apricots in Arc Raiders, pay attention to the Lush Blooms event. It happens randomly on different maps and temporarily increases the amount of fruit and plants that appear. If you see it active on a map you’ve unlocked, jump in and start searching – it’s the best way to find more!
