The ‘Missing Teen’ investigation starts like others: we need to choose a location to search before our skills come into play. Luckily, just like before, choosing the wrong place won’t end the investigation. However, the game is introducing some changes – investigation areas are shifting around, and certain spots will automatically cause you to fail. This means we can’t be certain these mechanics won’t change again later.

She can unlock an option that will automatically succeed on the check – sending them through the portal. If she’s not currently available, you’ll need to pass a standard skill check. Otherwise, you’ll need to pass either an Intellect or Charisma test (difficulty 6).
