When ‘Marty Supreme’ Will Be on Streaming

The new sports drama Marty Supreme, from Josh Safdie and A24, had a strong opening on Christmas Day, bringing in around $9.5 million. Timothée Chalamet is receiving excellent reviews for his role as Marty Mauser, a clever and determined hustler who aims to become a top table tennis player in the 1950s. While A24 hasn’t announced when it will be available to stream or rent, it likely won’t be long before you can watch it at home.

Timothée Chalamet’s performance is a major highlight of Marty Supreme, which is receiving widespread acclaim as one of the best films of 2025. The movie will likely stay in theaters as long as it continues to do well, but A24 films typically become available to stream on HBO Max. The big question now is when that will happen.

When Will Marty Supreme Be Available To Stream?

A24 has a deal with HBO Max, meaning new movies from A24 will stream there first, before going to any other streaming service. As a result, Marty Supreme will debut on HBO Max. Based on how A24 has released its films recently, Marty Supreme will likely be available to stream around three and a half to four months after it finishes playing in theaters.

Following a similar pattern to other A24 films, Eddington became available on HBO Max on November 14, 2025, about four months after its July 18 theatrical release. The Smashing Machine premiered in theaters on October 3rd and will be added to HBO Max on January 23, 2026, approximately three and a half months later.

Based on current trends, we expect the movie Marty Supreme to be available on HBO Max between April 17th and April 24th, 2026. This timing would align with A24’s usual release schedule, which typically sees their films on streaming platforms three to four months after their initial release.

After becoming available on HBO Max, Marty Supreme could eventually move to another streaming platform once HBO Max’s exclusive viewing period ends. Apple TV+ has announced that Marty Supreme is “Coming Soon,” suggesting they plan to offer the show after it finishes streaming on HBO Max.

I caught Marty Supreme when it hit theaters on Christmas Day, 2025, and it’s fantastic! Right now, the only way to see this incredible sports drama – it’s based on the true story of table tennis legend Marty Reisman – is on the big screen. A24 hasn’t given us a date yet for when it’ll be available to rent or buy online, but if their usual schedule holds, I’m guessing we’ll see it on demand in about a month or so after its theatrical release.

Benny Safdie’s sports drama, The Smashing Machine, followed a similar pattern, debuting in theaters on October 3, 2025, and becoming available digitally around a month later, on November 4th.

A24 recently released the feel-good romantic comedy Eternity in theaters on November 26, 2025, followed by its availability for rental on demand on December 23, 2025. Following this typical release schedule, we can expect Marty Supreme to be available for rental on demand around January 20-27, 2026, about a month after it hits theaters on Christmas Day.
