Fortnite is teaming up with the popular mobile game Honkai Star Rail, and Epic Games has just announced the collaboration, sparking excitement among players about when to expect it.
I think one of the biggest reasons Fortnite is still so popular after all this time is just how many awesome crossovers they do! Seriously, it feels like every week there’s a brand new set of characters from other franchises you can play as – it keeps things so fresh and exciting.
Chapter 7 has already brought some exciting additions to the game, including characters from South Park, The Office, and Jason Statham. But the developers aren’t stopping there! They’ve just announced a collaboration with Honkai Star Rail, and here’s a rundown of what we know so far.
Fortnite x Honkai Star Rail release date
The Honkai Star Rail event will launch on Thursday, February 5, 2026, with the game’s v39.40 update. This timing coincides with the end of the current South Park event, Born in Chaos.

Skins and what to expect
Details about the Honkai crossover are still coming, but it looks like Blade and Kafka will be getting new outfits. The one teaser image released so far features weapons associated with each character – Blade’s broken sword and Kafka’s distinctive red katana.
These new items will be available in the game’s store, along with other related cosmetics like Back Blings, Pickaxes, and Emotes. While the exact price isn’t known yet, similar collaborations have usually cost around 1,500 V-Bucks, so that’s a good estimate.
I’m really curious to see if these are all the new characters Epic is planning, or if they’ve got even more surprises for us! If these two skins prove popular with players, I wouldn’t be shocked if we eventually got to see characters like Firefly or Sunday added too. Fingers crossed!
It’s currently unknown if the crossover will include items from Honkai Star Rail, or just character outfits.
I’ll definitely update this page with a complete guide to all the items and how to unlock them as soon as I have the details. But in the meantime, don’t forget to check out all the free skins available this February 2026!
