As a die-hard fan of Dexter Morgan, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the return of my favorite serial killer in the new prequel series, Dexter: Original Sin. It’s like reliving old times, but this time with a period twist that promises to add an exciting layer to the story we already know and love.
Dexter Morgan is coming back on your screens once more, this time in the prequel series titled “Dexter: Original Sin” on Paramount+. If you find gory scenes uncomfortable, it might be wise to avert your eyes.
Following the gripping run of eight seasons depicting brutal murders in the original Dexter series, Michael C. Hall will once again step into the title character (via voiceover) for Dexter: Original Sin. But unlike previous installments, this new TV program is set to conclude the story of serial killers with a historical twist.
In the year 1991, the story unfolds with Original Sin, where we witness Dexter’s notorious transformation from an ordinary student into a highly skilled murderer. Guided by his father, he refines a method that would later be recognized as his signature approach – targeting only those individuals deemed unworthy of life.
Keep an eye out, the prequel series for Dexter will air earlier than anticipated. Make sure to mark your calendar for the release dates of each upcoming episode.
When is Dexter: Original Sin Episode 1 out?
Dexter: Original Sin Episode 1 premieres on Friday, December 13 on Paramount+ with Showtime.
It’ll then get a televised premiere on Showtime on Sunday, December 15 at 10pm.
New episodes will then drop on a weekly basis until the season finale on February 14.
How many episodes are there?
There will be 10 episodes of Dexter: Original Sin in total.
The original series consisted of 12 episodes per season, whereas its sequel, New Blood, only contained 10.
