The Outer Worlds 2, the upcoming RPG from Obsidian and Microsoft, is launching on October 29th. Players who purchase early access will be able to start playing on October 24th. The exact release times for both early access and the full game have now been announced.
Early access to the game starts October 24th at midnight Eastern Time, which is 9 PM Pacific Time on October 23rd. The full game will launch globally on October 29th at 10 AM Pacific Time / 1 PM Eastern Time. IGN has provided a detailed schedule of launch times, which you can find below.

Preorder The Outer Worlds 2
You can now preorder The Outer Worlds 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The standard version costs $70, while the Premium edition is $100 and includes extra content and a Season Pass with two future story expansions. If you buy the Premium edition, you can start playing up to five days early, beginning October 24th.

The Outer Worlds 2 was supposed to be $80
Microsoft initially announced a price increase for some of its 2025 games, raising the price from $70 to $80, starting with The Outer Worlds 2. However, they later changed their minds and decided to keep The Outer Worlds 2 at the original $70 price. The more expensive ‘Premium’ version of the game still costs $100. Now, with The Outer Worlds 2 staying at $70, Mario Kart World is the only major new game from a large publisher that will cost $80 this year.
