‘Wheel of Time’ Season 3 Adds Olivia Williams, Callum Kerr, Nuno Lopes, Luke Fetherston to Cast

As a longtime movie enthusiast who has been following “The Wheel of Time” since its inception, I must say that the latest additions to the cast for Season 3 have me absolutely thrilled! Olivia Williams, Callum Kerr, Luke Fetherston, and Nuno Lopes joining this grand production can only mean one thing – we’re in for a royal treat.

“Wheel of Time” Season 3 is continuing to build out its cast.

It has been revealed that Olivia Williams, Callum Kerr, Luke Fetherston, and Nuno Lopes have signed up for a high-fantasy series on Amazon Prime Video. In this show, they will portray members of the royal family hailing from the kingdom of Andor.

Newcomers join the cast for Season 3, together with Shohreh Aghdashloo who was announced earlier. Rosamund Pike, Sophie Okonedo, Daniel Henney, Josha Stradowski, Zoë Robins, Madeleine Madden, Marcus Rutherford, Dónal Finn, Ceara Coveney, Kate Fleetwood, Natasha O’Keeffe, Ayoola Smart, and Kae Alexander are also set to return for the upcoming season.

In this reimagined narrative, Williams will portray Queen Morgase Trakand of Andor. As per the official character breakdown, Morgase didn’t ascend to her throne by inheritance; instead, when succession was unclear, she fought a fierce war against several noble contenders. Her strategic intellect and relentless determination enabled her victory. Since then, she has vowed to protect her daughter and heir, Elayne (Coveney), from the hardships and struggles she faced, while striving to uphold what she did. Contrary to being a despot, Morgase has proven herself to be one of Andor’s most exceptional rulers.

Fetherston takes on the role of Prince Galad from House Trakand, hailing from the realm of Andor and the sibling of Gawyn and Elayne. Known for his exceptional martial skills, striking good looks, and unwavering guardianship over his younger sister.

Kerr takes on the role of Prince Gawyn, hailing from House Trakand in the land of Andor. He’s the eldest among Galad and Elayne, but not in line for the throne due to Andor being a matriarchal society where the heir is his younger sister, Elayne, instead.

In this tale, Lopes portrays Lord Gaebril, the male companion of Queen Morgase. He serves as both her romantic partner and advisor, helping manage political and military affairs. Given that Andor is a matriarchal society, his authority and influence, although substantial, are always subordinate to the queen’s, to whom he remains loyal and dedicated in service.

Williams is represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and Independent Talent Group. Kerr is represented by Revolution Talent and Roar. Fetherston is also handled by Independent Talent Group. Lopes, on the other hand, has Subtitle Talent Agency, Authentic, and AGM as her talent agencies.

As earlier mentioned, the third season of “The Wheel of Time” is set to premiere on March 13. This series is inspired by Robert Jordan’s book series with the same title. Rafe Judkins has adapted these books for television and takes on the roles of executive producer and showrunner. Additionally, Rick Selvage and Larry Mondragon from iwot productions, Ted Field from Radar Pictures, Mike Weber, Marigo Kehoe, Ciaran Donnelly, Justine Juel Gillmer, Dave Hill, and Pike are also serving as executive producers. The series is being co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.
