What’s happened to FaZe? Members suddenly quit FaZe Clan – Lacy, Silky, Adapt and more

FaZe Clan is dealing with uncertainty about its future. Several members have announced they’re leaving, and disagreements within the organization are now becoming public.

Throughout Christmas Day, several popular FaZe Clan members – including JasonTheWeen, Lacy, StableRonaldo, and Silky – announced they were leaving the organization, effectively ending the current chapter of the FaZe house.

A major change came with Adapt’s announcement that he was leaving the organization after 14 years, and he expressed optimism for the future, saying, “the best is yet to come.”

So, I’m leaving FaZe Clan. It’s tough, honestly – I’ve been with them for 14 years, which is more than half my life! It definitely stings, but I know this was the right decision. I just want to say thank you to everyone who supported me during my time there. I’m really excited about what the future holds, and I think the best is still to come!

Things got worse when FaZe Banks, one of the founders of FaZe Clan, publicly responded to the issues, disputing accusations about the organization’s finances.

FaZe Banks speaks out

Banks explained that he provided substantial help to the artists, even covering their housing costs himself. He stated this decision led to personal debt, and he considered it a significant financial risk he took to help the group when they were just starting out.

I recently saw clips from Plaqueboymax’s stream where he played a laugh track over a tweet of mine. Honestly, even though Max and I haven’t always agreed, and I haven’t really connected with a lot of people in the industry, I think many of them are incredibly ungrateful.

They received free housing, a full film and support crew, and access to all of FaZe’s social media channels, without having to share any of the income. After I connected with them, their finances and platforms grew significantly, yet I’m being portrayed as the villain. It doesn’t add up, and as I mentioned, I’ll be sharing the full story tomorrow.

Banks went on to say that he thought the group had excessively large egos, which he found deeply unpleasant. He was disturbed by what he perceived as a lack of authenticity in their relationships – with each other, other streamers, and their fans – and accused them of being incredibly skilled at appearing genuine when they weren’t, building their entire careers on this facade.

PlaqueBoyMax revealed he’d actually left FaZe several months ago. He said his decision, made back in August, stemmed from ongoing disagreements about who had control and ownership, which were brought to a head when a sponsorship deal didn’t work out.

Plaqueboymax recently shared details about the issues within Faze Clan, explaining why he left and alleging a lack of control among the members. He confirmed Lacy’s removal from the organization and suggested the current members are involved in something problematic, hinting at Faze Banks’ potential involvement. He also issued an apology to the other members.

Valkyrae, a member of 100 Thieves, shared on her livestream that several former FaZe Clan members are reportedly planning to form their own organization, giving them greater control and ownership. Although there hasn’t been an official announcement, several streamers have suggested that these plans are already underway.

It’s been a tough time for FaZe Clan fans like me. Right now, it looks like Kaysan, ZooMaa, and YourRage are the only original content creators still with the team. I saw Kaysan post a broken heart emoji on X, which is really sad. ZooMaa seems just as confused as the rest of us, saying he doesn’t quite understand what’s happening behind the scenes. It’s all a bit worrying, honestly.

Man, watching ZooMaa stream today was tough. He seemed really upset and confused by everything going on with FaZe – all the members leaving and the drama surrounding it. He just wanted to thank all of us, his community, for continuing to support him, and it was honestly really touching to see. ❤️
