What time is Physical: Asia spinoff Welcome to Mongolia on Netflix?

Following the popularity of Physical: Asia, Netflix is releasing a new series called Welcome to Mongolia. It’s coming out soon, so mark your calendars with the release date and time!

So, you loved Physical: 100? Well, Physical: Asia is basically a new version of that show! It takes the same intense competition format – 100 contestants pushing themselves to the absolute limit through crazy challenges – but this time it’s focused on players from across Asia. The goal is still the same: be the last one standing and claim the title – and the prize money, of course!

The Asia edition of the competition featured six contestants, each representing one of eight different countries – Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Mongolia, Australia, and Turkey – competing for the title of strongest nation.

Team Korea officially won Physical: Asia, but many fans felt Team Mongolia truly captured the spirit of the competition—and now their story will be told in a new Netflix series.

Physical: Welcome to Mongolia release date & time

Get ready for New Year’s Day! The new series Physical: Welcome to Mongolia will be available to stream on Netflix starting January 1, 2026, at 12am Pacific Time / 3am Eastern Time.

The streaming service hasn’t officially said so, but most likely all episodes will be released at the same time, so you can binge-watch the whole season right away. Here’s a schedule for different time zones to help you plan when to start watching:

  • 5am Brazil
  • 8am UK
  • 9am Central European Time
  • 1:30pm India Standard Time
  • 7pm Australia
  • 9pm New Zealand

If you want to watch the new TV show, Physical: Welcome to Mongolia, before it’s available in your region, you can use a VPN. Because it’s originally a Korean show, it was released there first.

The first two episodes became available on Netflix on December 24th, and episodes three and four were released on December 31st. Currently, only the first two episodes have English subtitles, so viewers who don’t understand Korean will need to wait for subtitles on the later episodes.

If you don’t want to wait until New Year’s Day, you can watch the first two episodes with English subtitles on Netflix. Just set your VPN to a Korean server, go to Netflix, and search for “Physical: Welcome to Mongolia.”

How many episodes are there?

I was surprised to learn there are only four episodes of “Welcome to Mongolia.” That’s way different than the other “Physical” shows – “Physical: Asia” had twelve, and “Physical: 100” has nine per season! Apparently, it’s because this one focuses more on travel and experiencing the culture, rather than being a full-on competition, which explains the shorter run.
