What happened in Episode 6?

The sixth episode of Paradise Season 2, titled ‘Jane,’ primarily explored the backstory of Jane Driscoll. The episode used flashbacks to examine the influence of both her upbringing and inherent personality traits.

The story begins on May 29, 1997, when a man learns that a killer will be born at midnight on June 6th. He’s told this killer can be stopped if a specific message is delivered. The man finds a child, Jane, who fits the description and informs her mother.

The story quickly moves through Jane’s childhood, showing a difficult relationship between her and her mother. This disconnect could be linked to a prophecy surrounding Jane. She’s also a troubled child, plagued by voices that push her to misbehave – she even locks her mother in the sauna at one point.

The scene shifts to ten years earlier, showing Jane’s training at ‘The Farm.’ Her supervisor feels sorry for Driscoll and teaches her methods to quiet the voices she hears. However, Driscoll misuses these abilities, notably attacking her boss’s competitor and severely injuring him – reportedly by inflicting a life-altering injury.

Currently, Robinson is arrested for the President’s murder and imprisoned in an underground facility. There, she gets caught up in a scheme by Jeremy Bradford to shut down the bunker’s oxygen, which would unlock the doors and allow everyone to escape.

As Link and his team assemble outdoors, Redmond uses the moment to take control by proposing a solution to the problem: sending Driscoll to arrange a meeting.

When Gabby came back, she challenged Jane about what she’d done. Jane replied that if Gabby wanted to target Redmond, she’d have to deal with Jane first.

This episode centers around Xavier’s attempt to rescue Teri. He begins by creating a diversion with a bomb, hoping to free her from who he believes are her captors. However, he soon discovers Gary is actually planning to kill him, and he barely escapes an explosion. Just as armed men close in, Teri emerges from the crowd, leaving viewers on a cliffhanger before they can finally reunite.
