What happened in Episode 4?

In the fourth episode of Industry, a rivalry escalates between Tender and SternTao, while Whitney’s actions unintentionally lead to a devastating outcome.
The episode begins with Tender receiving a billion-dollar investment from Pierpoint. Meanwhile, Yasmine is working to create a memorable launch event for the app, and Henry is speaking at the WebHorizon tech conference.
Despite feeling a little nervous beforehand, he gave a passionate speech about the convenience of mobile banking and the power of innovation. However, the positive atmosphere quickly faded when journalist Jim questioned Whitney about the company’s activities in Sunderland.
As a counterattack, Tender starts spreading damaging rumors about Jim. This includes questionable photos from a meeting with Harper and a false claim of sexual assault made by Hayley, leading to Jim being fired.
Rishi is also struggling – his mother-in-law wants to rename his son and might even move him overseas. This leads Rishi to start drinking heavily, and he ends up drinking with Jim.
After a night of cocaine use in an apartment, Joe overdoses while the police are arriving. In a panic, Rishi jumps from the balcony, breaking both ankles before being taken into custody.
