January brings a lot of new TV shows, and K-drama fans should definitely check out ‘Idol I’. It’s about Maeng Se-na, a lawyer who’s tough in court but secretly loves K-pop.
Everything changes for her when she unexpectedly has to defend Do Ra-ik, a member of the popular group Gold Boys, against a murder accusation. As she works on his legal defense, a romantic connection begins to grow between them.
Even though it’s not originally a Netflix production, Netflix has the rights to stream the series internationally. This means new episodes will be released according to the schedule of the Korean network, ENA. We’ve detailed the upcoming release dates below. Be aware – spoilers follow for episodes 5 and 6!
Idol I Part 4 release date & time
Episode 7 of Idol will be available on Netflix on January 12, 2026, followed by Episode 8 on January 13. While the episodes premiere at 10 PM Korea Standard Time, viewers in the US can expect them on Netflix around 10 AM Eastern Time / 7 AM Pacific Time.
Unlike most shows on Netflix, new episodes will be released according to the schedule used in Korea. This means you can expect episodes to become available at different times each week.
