The fourth episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is coming out sooner than expected this week! Here’s when and where you can watch it, along with a quick reminder of what went down in the previous episode.
Things are really picking up in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms! Dunk is getting closer and closer to achieving his dream of competing in the Ashford Meadow tournament, and Egg has some big news… but you’ll need to read our spoiler-filled recap at the bottom of the page to find out what it is. WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!
As a fan, I’ve really appreciated how this show feels different from other adaptations of George R.R. Martin’s work. It’s much more focused and feels more realistic than shows like Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. It’s a refreshing change of pace!
A new episode won’t be released this Sunday because of a major sporting event.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Episode 4 release date & time

The fourth episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will premiere on Friday, February 6th, moved from its usual slot to accommodate the Super Bowl on Sunday.
To make sure it doesn’t compete with the Super Bowl, the fourth part – called ‘Seven’ – will first become available online in the US at 12:01am Pacific Time / 3:01am Eastern Time on Friday. It will then air on television on Sunday, February 8th at 7pm Pacific Time / 10pm Eastern Time.
If you want to watch the Sunday screening from a country where it’s not available, a VPN is a clever workaround. You’ll still need a subscription to the streaming service, but you can pay with a gift card or through on-demand services like Amazon Prime.
If you’re watching from a different time zone, here are some alternative times to tune in:
- 12am Brazil (February 9)

What happened in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Episode 3?

In the third episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Dunk and Egg begin to bond, Aerion’s unpleasant personality becomes clear, a frightening prophecy is delivered, Dunk is tempted with a bribe, and Egg surprisingly reveals he is a Targaryen.
The episode begins with Egg practicing with his warhorse, Thunder, shown in a humorous sequence. We then see a heartwarming connection develop between the knight and his squire, Dunk and Egg, as they spend time together singing, working the land, taking care of daily tasks like cooking and eating, and simply enjoying each other’s company.
Dunk has a day off because the first part of the tournament is only for knights of noble birth. He’s also approached with a dishonest offer: a fixed jousting match that would earn money for Lord Ashford, and he’s given a day to decide if he’ll participate.
During a jousting tournament, Aerion shocks and angers onlookers when he deliberately targets and fatally wounds his opponent’s horse instead of aiming for the rider.

The fortune teller predicted a grim fate for Egg: he would become king, but ultimately perish in a fiery blaze, leaving only ashes for worms to consume. Surprisingly, those who knew him would celebrate his death.
Dunk dismissed the comment and went out for drinks with Raymun. Meanwhile, Egg attempted to distract themself by watching Tanselle’s puppet show, which featured a dragon being defeated.
Aerion was insulted by what he saw as an insult, and he responded by breaking someone’s fingers. Dunk immediately intervened, hitting Aerion and knocking out one of his teeth.
Aerion was furious and commanded his guards to break all of Dunk’s teeth. Egg quickly intervened, stopping them and revealing that he was Aerion’s brother – and a member of the royal family.
