A man known as ‘The Storage Hunters’ on TikTok has gained widespread attention after discovering Roddy Ricch’s Grammy in a deserted storage unit. This unexpected find led the rapper to contact him to reclaim his belongings, but things haven’t gone smoothly for the TikToker in this situation.
On December 1, 2024, The Storage Hunters shared a video on TikTok, disclosing that they spent $280 to secure a compact storage space at a closed-down auction.
After finding a PS5 game, Yeezy slides, and an apparently luxurious suitcase within, the individual decided to buy the unit. However, upon discovery that the case was locked, he opened another one containing high-end clothing. Feeling bold, he chose to break open the first case as well.
Within, there was a Grammy awarded to Roddy Ricch in 2019 for Best Rap Performance, which he discovered. Rapidly spreading across various platforms, people expressed their opinions about how he should handle this prestigious award, as evidenced by the comments section.
One person commented that he should at least return the Grammy… They were implying that he and Nipsey Hussle were close in their song.” Or, more casually, “Someone suggested he give back the Grammy since him and Nipsey were tight in their song.

“Yes, I got into contact with Roddy Ricch and his assistant. All I wanted was a video of me giving it back to him, or at least a video of him telling me thank you. Clearly, that wasn’t possible,” he said.
Roddy Ricch says TikToker tried to “extort” him for over $50k
On a chilly Monday, December 2, 2024, I hopped onto Instagram Live to share some heartfelt thoughts directly with my fans.
The rapper stated that the issue wasn’t about returning the Grammy or a video, but rather $50,000. As soon as we learned the kid had the Grammy and all related items, we contacted him right away. We then found the video with only a thousand views and proposed a deal for its return.
The individual subsequently stated that he had originally requested a high-end AP watch valued at around $30,000, but later claimed to have asked for $50,000. However, Roddy proposed a counter offer of $10,000 as a payment for returning the Grammy.
In simpler terms, Ricch explained that the situation was more about a person trying to gain popularity or influence, or attempting to blackmail him for $50,000. He stated that the individual suggested he should think about it and contemplate their threats, but he’s unsure what they are referring to with all the intimidation. With two children to care for, Ricch focuses on his own affairs and doesn’t understand what the person is talking about with their threats.
He shared on Instagram why the Grammy and other belongings remained in a storage unit, as he had a close call with a severe accident involving his personal assistant.
