It’s time for Euphoria to grow up.
The second season of Euphoria was a huge cultural moment, and when the show returns on April 12th for its third season, it will be set a few years in the future, focusing on the characters navigating early adulthood. The cast – including Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, and Sydney Sweeney – have become major stars in their own right, landing roles in big movies and critically acclaimed independent films. Expect creator Sam Levinson to continue his bold, visually striking style, and to push boundaries, perhaps in response to the mixed reaction to his recent series, The Idol. Euphoria is known for delivering both emotionally powerful scenes and plenty of off-screen drama, and fans are eagerly awaiting the new season.

Roll call! What do you want to see in Euphoria season three?
Rafaela Bassili here, with a recap. I really hope Lexi realizes she’s a writer and can use her own life experiences as inspiration for her work. There are still a few unanswered questions, like whether Rue will ever pay back Laurie, and what happened with Cal – the trailer suggests he’s out of jail, but it’s unclear if he was ever convicted. I’m also curious to see if Jules ever finds out about Cal, considering Nate told her the destroyed disc was the only proof of their encounter. I’m going into this season with a heavy heart, as Eric Dane’s performance was a standout part of the show. One of Euphoria‘s biggest weaknesses is its pacing, which was previously helped by following the school year. It will be interesting to see how the show manages without that natural structure. And I already miss Fez!
I’m eager to see how Lexi’s experiences in Hollywood continue, especially as it seems her play will once again spark questions about whether it’s based on the lives of those around her. I’m also curious to learn more about the show-within-a-show, L.A. Nights.
I’m really looking forward to seeing the cameos by Trisha Paytas and Rosalía. They seem even more unexpected than the new faces we saw last season, and I think that kind of humor might help balance out the show’s often-serious tone.
As a film buff, I’m really fascinated by how much Sam Levinson seems to be borrowing from his own movie, Assassination Nation, in this season of Euphoria. I’m also completely heartbroken about how they handled Fezco’s storyline – rest in peace, Angus Cloud. Honestly, it all feels so heavily inspired by Harmony Korine’s style that I’m surprised he hasn’t filed a lawsuit already – he really should!
Social producer Zach Schiffman is really looking forward to seeing how the show handles the character of Storm Reid – whether they’ll allow her character to grow up or keep her as a younger character. (Note: Storm Reid won’t actually be in season three, but it’s fun to imagine!)

I’m most excited for Alexa Demie to return to my screen!
Savannah Salazar, the editor, is wondering how the show will handle its time jump. She’s also worried about what difficult storyline they’ll create for the character Jules. Finally, she’s frustrated to see Jacob Elordi reprise his role as Nate, as she’s come to appreciate him a lot since his time on Euphoria.

Genuinely curious to see if they can make me care about this again …
