West Wilson won’t be returning to Summer House. According to People magazine, Bravo has decided not to invite him back after season eight. This news comes just a week after the dramatic season three reunion, where West and Amanda Batula revealed they were a couple. West first appeared on the show as a love interest for Ciara Miller, Amanda’s best friend, and they had a complicated relationship. After Amanda separated from her husband, Kyle Cooke, rumors began circulating about her and West, which they eventually confirmed. The rest of the Summer House cast felt blindsided by the relationship, especially since Amanda and West initially denied it.
Wilson hasn’t publicly explained why he left the show, but he jokingly wished people would skip the special reunion episode airing on June 16th. He explained on his podcast that he wanted the Spurs to win on Saturday, forcing a sixth game of the NBA Finals to air at the same time as the reunion episode. He said he’d be thrilled if the Knicks won the series in six games, coinciding with the episode. Unfortunately for Wilson, the Knicks didn’t win, and the reunion episode is available for anyone to watch. He was also jokingly advised to avoid Fiji for the rest of the summer.
