Wesley Snipes’ Blade Gets Exciting MCU Future Update

Fans were surprised to see Wesley Snipes back as Blade in the upcoming Marvel movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, and now there’s some good news about his character’s future.

What do we know about Wesley Snipes’ MCU future?

I’m so excited! A new report says Wesley Snipes is coming back as Blade for one last movie! It sounds like he’ll be in either Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars. We don’t know exactly what he’ll do yet, but with both movies dealing with the multiverse, it makes sense he could show up and help out the Avengers. I can’t wait to see him back in action!

Wesley Snipes famously played Blade in a series of films in the 2000s and recently returned to the role in Deadpool & Wolverine, where the movie poked fun at Blade’s place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although a standalone Blade movie was announced in 2019, reports now suggest it’s been canceled, with Snipes’ character possibly appearing in a future Midnight Sons film instead.

Several well-known actors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be in the movie, including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as the Invisible Woman, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes (the Winter Soldier), Letitia Wright as Shuri, and Paul Rudd as Ant-Man.

The movie’s cast includes Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent/John Walker, Tenoch Huerta as Namor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing/Ben Grimm, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Kelsey Grammer as Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast, Lewis Pullman as Bob/Sentry, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.

The next X-Men movie will feature the return of several familiar faces, including Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Channing Tatum as Gambit.

I’m so excited for the next phase of the MCU! We’re getting ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ on December 18, 2026, and then just a year later, on December 17, 2027, ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ hits theaters. It’s going to be an incredible couple of years for Marvel fans!
