Wednesday Is Returning to Nevermore for Another Semester

Prepare yourself for some high-energy dancing with your hands raised, fellow fans of “Wednesday“! This Jenna Ortega-starring series is set to return on Netflix in 2025, following its initial debut in 2022. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, the show’s creators and executive producers, expressed their excitement about continuing Wednesday’s intricate storyline in season two, as they shared with Tudum.com: “It has been a remarkable experience crafting a series that resonates with people globally. We are eager to delve deeper into Wednesday’s twisted journey in season two.” They can hardly wait to jump back into the peculiar supernatural realm of Nevermore – just remember to check the pool first, as Wednesday might have already drained it!

In this post, you’ll find a fresh sneak peek, information about Lady Gaga’s role, and all the latest updates regarding her character’s upcoming term at Nevermore Academy. This exclusive scoop comes directly from Enid’s chatty blog.

Do we have a trailer?

Actually, it’s not exactly as you described. Instead of reconnecting via texts like most people might do, a brief video was shared during the Next on Netflix event on January 30, which showcases Wednesday encountering her former adversary and ex-boyfriend, Tyler (portrayed by Hunter Doohan). In our ordinary world, such meetings often happen over text messages, but Wednesday’s reunion is anything but ordinary. She isn’t chatting with him over texts; instead, she’s meeting him at the Willow Hill Asylum. The atmosphere is thick with tension…

Who’s in the cast?

The cast list for the upcoming season of Netflix’s Addams Family series was announced on May 7. Interestingly, three series regulars have been omitted from the lineup. Jenna Ortega will continue as the lead character, with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán returning as Morticia and Gomez Addams. The actors Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, and Isaac Ordonez will also reprise their roles. However, some new faces have been added to the cast, including Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor. As for guest stars, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, and Christopher Lloyd (who played Fester in the ’90s films) will be joining the show.

It has been confirmed by Deadline that Percy Hynes White, Jamie McShane, and Naomi J. Ogawa will no longer be regular cast members on Wednesday. However, McShane’s character, Sheriff Donovan Galpin, will make a return as a guest star, presumably concluding the storyline about his son Tyler (Hunter Doohan) from last season. Hynes White and Ogawa have left the show permanently.

Anybody (Gaga) else (Gaga)?

It’s been confirmed that Lady Gaga will make a guest appearance on the second season of the show, following the popularity of her “Bloody Mary” dance which trended on TikTok with a fast-paced rendition of the 2011 song. Although the original routine was set to “Goo Goo Muck,” by the Cramps, it has now become synonymous with Lady Gaga in popular culture. We’re hoping this upcoming appearance will gain similar traction, but let’s see if TikTok continues to be around in the U.S. when the show airs.

What’s going on with Percy Hynes White?

In January 2023, a Twitter user made accusations against actor Hynes White, stating he sexually assaulted her at a party while she was drunk and that he had assaulted multiple women. The allegations included claims that Hynes White hosted parties where underage girls were given drugs and alcohol in exchange for sexual encounters. However, in June 2023, Hynes White denied these accusations through a statement on Instagram. His statement read, “Earlier this year, someone I’ve never met started spreading false information about me online.” The statement continued, expressing concern over his family being doxxed and friends receiving death threats. Additionally, underage photos of him were misused, and actions portraying his character were presented as harmful. Lastly, Hynes White also denied broader allegations of misogyny and racism.

When will Wednesday season-two drop?

As of now, there’s no confirmed launch date, but you can expect it in 2025. Just like its predecessor, it’s likely to be released on a Wednesday.
