Host Alfonso Ribeiro recently revealed that the final decision came down to Hudson and Hilaria Baldwin, who was eliminated last week. Ribeiro shared this information at a dental conference. Baldwin herself reflected on how quickly she signed on to the show, saying she agreed to the contract between landing and collecting her luggage – a truly last-minute decision for everyone involved.
I don’t know if Hudson can dance, but she’d have been amazing on the show. It would have been mostly for the funny videos and fan-made content, rather than her actually winning over the audience – that’s what Andy Richter is there for.
