As a dedicated fan of Call of Duty: Warzone since its inception, I must say that the journey has been a rollercoaster ride for me! The game has had its fair share of ups and downs, but with the announcement of Warzone Season 2, it feels like we’re finally getting the updates we’ve been waiting for.
The rocky start to Black Ops 6’s era left many players, including myself, feeling a bit disappointed. We were promised Verdansk in spring 2025, and all we got was Area 99 Resurgence map? But alas, the devs have heard our cries and are addressing the issues head-on!
I’m particularly excited about the anti-cheat updates. Cheating has been a persistent issue in Warzone, and it reached an all-time high during Season 1. I can hardly wait for the promised kernel-level driver and new server-side protections to help combat this scourge!
The bug fixes and quality of life changes are also much appreciated. From faster mantle speeds to rebalanced Perks, Combat Records, and addressing concerns with reviving mechanics, these improvements will make the gameplay smoother and more enjoyable for everyone.
I’m eagerly awaiting the new content for Warzone Season 2. A new Battle Pass, weapons, operators, events, limited-time modes, weapon balance changes, and map updates are all on the horizon! I’ve got my fingers crossed for a return to the beloved Verdansk.
While we wait for the big update, I’ll keep grinding with the meta guns in Season 1 Reloaded, making sure I’m fully prepared for the new season. And let me tell you, nothing beats the satisfaction of outsmarting my opponents on the battlefield!
On a lighter note, I can’t help but wonder: will they finally add a “cheater elimination” challenge in Warzone Season 2? Because that would truly be the cherry on top!
In the latest development for Call of Duty’s battle royale game, Warzone is receiving a significant upgrade in Season 2, which includes enhanced anti-cheat measures and user-friendly enhancements.
As a dedicated gamer with years of experience under my belt, I have to say that the beginning of Black Ops 6’s Warzone has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride for me. The release of the Area 99 Resurgence map was like being handed an unfinished puzzle, leaving us fans yearning for the return of our beloved Verdansk in spring 2025. And let’s not even get started on the cheaters who seem to be lurking in every corner, making it a challenge just to enjoy a fair match. I can’t help but feel a bit frustrated and disappointed with this current state of affairs. Hopefully, things will improve soon and we can return to the thrilling battles that made Warzone such a beloved game for so many of us.
Having played Call of Duty: Warzone for quite some time now, I must say that I’m eagerly awaiting the upcoming Season 2 update. With Activision confirming some details, I thought it would be helpful to share what we know so far about this exciting new chapter in the game. From what I’ve gathered, it looks like Season 2 is going to bring some significant changes that will surely keep us on our toes. Mark your calendars for the release date and let’s dive into the details together!
Warzone Season 2 release date
On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, Warzone Season 2 officially begins! That’s the date when the current season’s Battle Pass concludes, and we’ve found that new seasons always kick off on the day their predecessors end.
These updates usually go live around 9 AM Pacific Time or 5 PM Greenwich Mean Time, with the preload becoming available a few days prior.
Anti-cheat updates
The problem of cheating has persistently been a challenge within the Warzone game, reaching another peak with the release of Season 1, yet, acknowledging that they fell short, the developers have pledged to make further adjustments during Seasons 2 and 3.
On their blog post dated December 16th, developers announced that they’ll make improvements to our core system driver and introduce fresh security measures on the server side. As we get closer to Season 2, we’ll learn more about the upcoming changes.
Bug fixes & quality of life changes
Despite being uncertain about when these updates might roll out, specifically if they’ll come prior to Season 2 or as part of an update, Raven Software has revealed their post-holiday strategies.
Although cheating takes precedence, they assure that they will also focus on improving server speed and ensuring game consistency throughout. This has been verified.
- Faster mantle speeds
- Rebalanced Perks
- Combat Records
- The ability to close doors while running
- Addressing concerns with reviving mechanics
In Black Ops 6, you have a detailed Combat Record. On the other hand, Warzone doesn’t provide this directly; instead, you need to look up your stats on the leaderboards. However, it appears that after the holidays, they plan to reintroduce a battle royale version of the Combat Record.
They are additionally looking into issues such as audio inconsistencies, problems with lighting and visibility, keyboard and mouse performance, unusual drone actions, and contract discrepancies on the Tactical Map.
As the year draws to a close, we’d like to offer some information about what we’re focusing on for #Warzone.
We’re committed to combating cheating, especially within our Ranked Play setting, and we want to express how significantly it affects our players. We are collaborating closely…

Expected content
- Season 2 Battle Pass
- New weapons
- New Operators
- Events & new LTMs

While Treyarch and Raven Software have yet to disclose specifics about Warzone Season 2 content, it’s reasonable to anticipate all the items mentioned earlier. Historically, each Call of Duty season unfolds in a similar manner, introducing a fresh Battle Pass filled with novel weapons, Operators, and additional features.
As you’re waiting, ensure that you’re utilizing the meta weapons during Season 1 Reloaded, and also optimize your controller and PC settings for the best performance.
