Warframe’s The Old Peace launches on December 10 for all platforms

Digital Extremes revealed during their recent Devstream that the next major story update for Warframe, called The Old Peace, will be available on all platforms starting December 10th.

As a Warframe player, I’m super excited about The Old Peace update! It’s bringing a ton of new stuff – like fresh game modes and a big expansion to how Focus Schools work. Plus, we’re getting the Uriel Warframe, new Protoframes to customize with, and even a whole new weapon type called Bayonets. It’s all building up to a larger Tau-themed update planned for later in 2026, and The Old Peace feels like it’s setting the perfect groundwork for that!

You can now play Warframe on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and iOS. An Android version is also planned for release soon.

Digital Extremes announced that the next major story update for Warframe, called ‘The Old Peace,’ will be released for free on all platforms on December 10th. During a preview, the developers showed off a new game mode called ‘The Perita Rebellion,’ along with updates like fully upgraded Focus School abilities (‘Tauron Strikes’), challenging mini-bosses from a new enemy group called the Anarchs, and gameplay footage of the 63rd Warframe, Uriel. They also shared news about TennoCon 2026 tickets, the upcoming Android beta for Warframe, and their plans to be at The Game Awards.

According to Community Director Megan Everett, a key focus for recent updates to the 12-year-old game Warframe has been innovation. The new Descendia and Perita Rebellion modes are completely original, and combined with the powerful new Tauron Strike abilities, they’re designed to evolve the game and appeal to today’s players. The Old Peace update also delves into Warframe‘s history, bringing a classic game into the present day.

Highlights from the November Devstream include

Don’t forget about Tauron Strikes – powerful, special moves unique to each of the five Focus Schools.

  • Harness the incredible power of the Void and use stunning, game-changing abilities to dominate your opponents.

  • Add more options to the existing Focus School skill trees and use resources from the Perita Rebellion, along with Focus, to unlock and improve each Tauron Strike. You can also trade with Marie from The Devil’s Triad to get valuable Tektolyst Artifacts.

  • This year at TennoCon, we saw the Naramon Strike, Vexoric. The Unairu Strike, Cogron, was revealed in the October Devstream. Today’s Devstream finished showcasing the Tauron Strikes with the reveals of Thara (Madurai), Nidri (Vazarin), and Lorak (Zenurik).

Rise from the ashes of retribution as Uriel, the 63rd Warframe:

  • Uriel began as the Protoframe Roathe, a powerful demon commander originally aligned with The Devil’s Triad. He’s fueled by the anger of a failed attempt to conquer an empire and his subsequent exile from time, all caused by the interference of Dr. Entrati.

  • Play as the Heretic of Xata, battling alongside powerful demons. Or, become Uriel and unleash devastating fire-based attacks, commanding three demonic allies to fight for you.

  • You can get Uriel for free by finding the necessary Blueprints and resources in The Descendia, or you can purchase it immediately with Platinum from the Warframe Marketplace.

Check out the newest updates to Arsenal, including Bayonets – a brand new weapon class – plus two new Prime weapons to go with Gyre Prime. Don’t forget the Voruna Deluxe cosmetics bundle!

  • Vinquibus is a unique Warframe weapon that combines a rifle and a bayonet into one, letting you switch between long-range accuracy and powerful close-quarters combat.

  • Gyre, a fast and energetic Warframe, is coming soon as the next Prime Warframe, bringing with it powerful new Prime versions of the Alternox rifle and Kestrel glaive.

  • Voruna, the wolf queen, will get a special new look called the Medeina deluxe skin. It’s designed with inspiration from the Art Nouveau art style and comes with a unique Iltis Axe skin and Manegarmr aura effect.

Rely on allies for exclusive rewards in the next time-limited Operation: Blood of Perita:

  • From December 16th to January 6th, complete missions like those from The Perita Rebellion to earn Marks of Valiance. You can find these missions on the Star Chart map.

  • I’m so excited! Apparently, if we turn in the stuff we’ve collected, we can go see Roathe from The Devil’s Triad and get some awesome limited-time rewards. I really want that new Loiaus Chest Armor – it’s a cosmetic that actually evolves! Plus, you can get an exclusive Player Title called Honoria, which sounds super cool.

  • This new Operation is only accessible to players who have completed The Old Peace Quest.

Rejoice for the return of TennoCon in 2026 with new details around a ticket sales date and pricing:

  • TennoCon, the yearly event for Warframe and Soulframe fans, is coming back to London, Ontario – Digital Extremes’ home city – on July 10th and 11th, 2026. The event will also feature TennoConcert, a special show celebrating over ten years of music from Warframe.

  • Tickets will be available on February  27, 2026, at 4 p.m. ET for the tiers below:

    • General Admission tickets include access to the entire event, the TennoCon concert, a special in-game pack for TennoCon 2026, and an exclusive bag of TennoCon goodies.
