Alan Ritchson’s new sci-fi action movie, War Machine, is coming out soon! Starring alongside Ritchson are Dennis Quaid, Esai Morales, Jai Courtney, and others. The film follows recruits at a tough special ops training camp as they face a dangerous enemy from outer space.
Netflix has announced that the movie War Machine will premiere on March 6th. They also shared a sneak peek video highlighting the many films and series coming to the platform in 2026. You can watch the teaser below!
The timing of War Machine‘s release is ideal for fans of Alan Ritchson’s popular Reacher series, offering another action-packed film to enjoy while they wait for season 4. While Reacher season 4 doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet, it could arrive in late 2026 following the completion of filming in late 2025.
Patrick Hughes, known for directing action films like The Expendables 3, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, and The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, is also the director of War Machine. He’s involved as a producer and co-wrote the screenplay with James Beaufort for this Netflix film.
War Machine is the latest action film joining Netflix’s collection, which already includes popular titles like Extraction, Extraction 2 starring Chris Hemsworth, Rebel Ridge with Aaron Pierre, and The Old Guard movies featuring Charlize Theron.
Alan Ritchson is famous for his role as Jack Reacher, but he’s appeared in many different kinds of projects before his new sci-fi action movie, War Machine. He’s lent his voice to Raphael in the 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, played a groom in a Black Mirror episode called “Nosedive,” portrayed Arthur Curry/Aquaman on Smallville, played Hank Hall/Hawk in Titans, and took on the role of Anders Lassen in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
Alan Ritchson has several exciting projects on the horizon, including the action thriller Runner with Owen Wilson and Rodrigo Santoro, and the Christmas action-comedy The Man with the Bag, where he’ll appear alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Awkwafina.
With the release of War Machine nearing, viewers can anticipate the first images and trailer, offering a glimpse of the cast – including Ritchson, Quaid, Morales, and Courtney – and the alien threat they’ll be battling.
