As a long-time Mario enthusiast who has traversed countless worlds and collected countless coins, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia and excitement at the prospect of owning The Super Mario Bros. Movie on 4K Blu-ray. With my trusty Power Star in hand, I’m ready to preorder the new Walmart-exclusive steelbook edition with its Question Block cover art, which is sure to be a prized addition to any gamer’s collection.
On March 4, 2025, the highly anticipated Super Mario Bros. Movie will be making a new 4K Blu-ray debut, encased in a collectible steelbook case. This Limited Edition Steelbook is currently available for preorder exclusively at Walmart for $28. Given the rapid sell-out rate of Walmart’s exclusive steelbook releases of popular films and the fact that this is the biggest video game adaptation ever, it’s safe to say this item won’t be on shelves for long.
In an unexpected turn of events, it seems that Walmart has replenished the initial Steelbook release as well. If you’re interested, you can grab the Collectible Steelbook version of the Power-Up Edition for $28. This edition was mostly out of stock before its launch in June last year, but occasional, fleeting restocks have been appearing at major retailers throughout the past year.
