YouTuber Vitaly shared that he documented his entire time in a Philippines jail on video, and he has no regrets about it.
In April 2025, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, a popular online prankster, was arrested in the Philippines. His online broadcasts showed him bothering people, stealing items, trying to kiss a security guard, and even attempting to take a gun.
Vitaly was arrested in the Philippines on April 3rd, coinciding with a crackdown on tourists bothering local residents. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. publicly condemned this behavior, saying it would not be accepted and expressing his strong disapproval.
In June, Zdorovetskiy faced more legal charges and could have been jailed for as long as eight months. Instead, on January 17th, he was sent back to Russia and publicly spoke about the difficult time he went through.
Vitaly had a phone while in jail
After being released, the YouTuber came back to the US and joined Adin Ross to discuss his experience being detained.
He claimed he had a phone with him throughout his time in jail and documented everything in a video blog. He told the KICK star on January 22nd that he intends to reveal widespread corruption, explaining that paying off guards was all it took to get what you needed.

Vitaly shared on Adin Ross’s livestream that he kept a record of everything that happened during his time in a Philippines prison and plans to reveal widespread corruption. He stated he had access to a phone throughout his sentence, implying money was used to facilitate this.

Zdorovetskiy also stated he has no regrets about what happened, calling it simply an experience.
I was in jail for ten months, and during that time I read a lot of business books and learned a lot. But before that, people don’t really know about the work I was doing overseas. I was traveling the world, helping others – have you heard about that?
After finishing his nine-month prison sentence in the Philippines, Vitaly told Adin Ross he has no regrets about crashing into an elderly woman’s property. He surprisingly claimed he was on a ‘world tour helping people’ and views the incident as a learning experience.

Officials fired over Vitaly’s “special treatment”
The Bureau of Immigration has fired three officials accused of giving the vlogger preferential treatment.
According to Philstarlife, the Bureau of Immigration confirmed the videos were taken shortly before the Russian vlogger was arrested.
Currently, Vitaly hasn’t said when he plans to release a video about his nearly 300 days in jail.
