Viral zip tie escape challenge leaves man trapped until police arrive

A man in Guangzhou, southern China, attempted the popular ‘zip tie escape challenge‘ and got into serious trouble, forcing emergency responders to rescue him after a delivery driver heard him calling for help.

A new online trend involves people tying their ankles and wrists with zip ties, sometimes also covering their mouths, and then attempting to break free. In some cases, people even contact delivery drivers and ask them to help untie them when they arrive.

A delivery driver fortunately heard a man calling for help and quickly alerted the police, according to the South China Morning Post.
