A robot resembling a human, nicknamed ‘Rizzbot,’ has recently become popular on TikTok. It’s gained attention not just for playfully teasing people, but also for its surprisingly strong punches!
If you’ve been on TikTok recently, you’ve probably seen ‘Rizzbot’ – a robot whose real name is Jake The Rizzbot. He’s become popular for successfully navigating obstacles like stairs, something robots haven’t always been able to do.
He’s gained 1.6 million TikTok followers not only because of his amazing moves, but also because he can talk! As ‘Rizzbot,’ he often gets millions of views when he playfully makes fun of people in public.
The robot, made by Unitree Robotics, is currently touring the United States, with stops in cities like New York, Hollywood, and Austin, Texas.
What is Rizzbot?
Seriously, this ‘Rizzbot’ character is wild! Everywhere he goes, people are totally shocked by how good he is at roasting – and he’s just straight-up rude about it, too. Plus, that little laugh of his? It’s become his signature move, honestly. It’s hilarious and kinda unsettling all at once!
A video from September 12th went viral with over 31 million views, showing a robot briefly escaping its operators. The robot walked up to two women and told them to be quiet before walking away, all while the song ‘Still D.R.E.’ by Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre played.
A video from September 20th quickly gained nearly five million views, featuring a demonstration of the ‘Rizzbot’s’ punching skills.
So, this dude started messing with a robot, basically challenging it to fight. It took the robot a sec to react, but it finally threw its hands up to block! Then, it actually *jabbed* the guy, and he was totally shocked. He yelled, “Wow, you can actually fight!” and then immediately backed down, saying he didn’t want any trouble.
People watching were amazed by what happened. One viewer commented, “Wow, this person can really fight!” Another exclaimed, “That punch was incredible – it took my breath away!”
You can purchase the humanoid robot from Unitree Robotics for approximately $16,000. Keep in mind, though, it won’t come with all the customizations seen in the ‘Rizzbot’ version, as those were added by someone who isn’t Unitree Robotics.
Even though the person operating the camera in those popular videos remains anonymous, they haven’t revealed themselves, despite the widespread popularity of Rizzbot.
