Bella, a popular dachshund known from the @buddy_bella_birdie account, recently passed away, her owner announced on December 5th.

This sweet senior dog was famous on Instagram for her charming, crooked smile and calm personality. She was the star of the Buddy, Bella & Birdie account, and her photos and videos often received thousands of likes. Followers loved her expressive face and enjoyed seeing the adorable mix of dogs and cats featured on the page.

Bella’s owner shared that she passed away unexpectedly after a sudden health issue, and they were by her side when she died.

Bella’s owner shared that she considered Bella her closest companion, explaining their connection began years ago when Bella came to live with them after her original owner died. They described how Bella was always by their side, following them everywhere, and said they’re heartbroken and feel a deep sense of loss after her passing.

Bella got sick overnight, and we had to rush her to the emergency vet. The vet explained she’d been secretly suffering for a while. Sadly, despite our best efforts, it was too late to save her, as her owner wrote, ‘We did everything we could, but you were too far gone.’

The post also expressed gratitude to fans for their years of support for Bella. The account owner was amazed by how popular it became, and shared stories of followers who said Bella helped them cope with difficult times, encouraged them to rescue dogs, or simply brightened their days.
